Will Star Wars Battlefront Come to Xbox 360 and PS3? DICE "Teases" Battlefront Beta

I can see a beta at around E3 time.

But many of you won't like this but lets be realistic of what could possibly happen.

Star Wars Battlefront is a megaton franchise with more than a 10 year hiatus and one of the most anticpated comebacks and sequels to date.

This game won't get tossed a side with no additional marketing.

It will get swerved or money hatted.

And will most likely get swerved in MS favor.

EA and MS are definite bunk buddies. MS will mostly likely if not automatically be the highest bidder.

I can be the most wrong person on the net.

But there's one thing that nobody can deny.

This game will get swerved no doubt. Either to MS or Sony hands down.

Isnt hardline playstation swerved? I am certain the most that either will get from battlefront will be month long map pack exclusivity.

Last years E3 Hardline seemed to be a swerve to PlayStation.

If it was a definite swerve we would hear of exclusive content already for PlayStation.

or the beta would once again be exclusive to PS4.

SW BF being on Xbox 360 & PS3 will hold back the game.

I hope not. They should make the game for current gen console only. They have a 30 million install base and that is good enough to leave the last gen behind. I want them to exploit the potential of the current gen consoles as much as they can.

So they might announce the beta or a beta code with Battlefield Hardline. Good idea to push the sales of the game.

I agree.

Something tells me they'll have a PS360 version. Made by a totally different studio.

They would want to get this game in many peoples hands as possible. Especially considering not only has numerous Star Wars games been getting cancelled and has been getting shafted from a "real" Star Wars game (not talking forced unleased) but everyones been waiting over 10 years for one.

Nobody has played any gen version of Battlefront. So it would be unfair to leave out last gen entirely. See what I'm sayin?

Making it current gen only has many amazing benefits..

Better Graphics and Resolution
Better Framerate
Better gameplay as the hardware is stronger so it can open up new ideas that couldn't be done at last gen consoles like The nemises system in Shadow Of Mordor which wasnt fully utilized on last gen consoles.
Make last gen players have another great reason to finally move on to the current gen.
Easier to develop on three consoles than in five consoles and less budget.

I loved the last gen consoles but its time for the new console to shine and show us what they are capable of.

Higher FPS and Res are not exclusive to current gen only games, if anything they are higher when they are last gen as well.

If you developers keep making last gen games, then those last gen gamer's wont bother getting next gen systems!

We are approaching 1 and a half years of the new consoles being the current consoles... why cross-gen games are still being considered, I have no clue. It only hurts the current gen version if it's with the same developer. And if they move the previous generation game to a different developer, it will be rushed to come out with the actual version.

It's a lose-lose situation IMO.

I think EA will do the same thing last year when they revealed the BF Hardline. Show off gameplay and a trailer then announce the beta that you can play immediately.

Star Wars: Battlefront will likely have its Beta announced this E3 like Hardline was if they plan on releasing it this year. Probably PS4, PC, and Xbox One alone if DICE is working night and day to finish it on time like I imagine. Last-gen ports would just take too much time.
