Dying Light Gameplay Video Shows Lag And Frame Stuttering Issues

It may be the hottest new game on the market but as this video shows, Dying Light has some issues with stuttering and frames, even on a PC well above the suggested specs.

Every PC game suffering these kind of issues

Helloween133738d ago

Im having none of these issues at all, running it on a high end PC and frame rate is steady as a rock and 60 FPS, Im about 35 hours into it in the second town

It runs great on my PC with i5 2500k, GTX 970, 8GB RAM and a G-Sync monitor.

All of my games do, in fact.

Garethvk3739d ago

This is bad though its almost unplayable. First hour or so it worked fine butnot now. Patch only made it worse.

UKmilitia3738d ago

when i left the game as default i had same issues.
but never have i had a game wrok perfect on pc with recomend settings.
i have always had to turn to something off or down.
this is the headache with pc gaming imo.

because there are too many scenarios of setup.

Garentvk, your computer is good enough to run the game?

1nsomniac3738d ago (Edited 3738d ago )

It is conveniently odd that he chooses not to say what graphics card he's using. I use ultra settings on an i5 & a "2gb Nvidia" so my rig is a lower spec however it flys on my machine. Until the goo shooter gets involved then fps drops. Strange.

Garethvk3738d ago

I7 quad core. 8gb ddr 3 ram 2gb Nvidua card, all above the recommended specs for the game. On their forums, this apears to be a common problem.

I_am_Batman3738d ago (Edited 3738d ago )

Those specs don't really say much. For example an i7 sandy bridge CPU won't perform as good as an i7 Haswell CPU even though both are i7 quad core CPUs.

For Nvidia cards they recommend the GTX 780 which has 3GB of VRAM.

Also what exactly does unplayable mean? Does that mean you can't get a stable framerate even on lowest settings? Have you tried to reduce the draw distance because the devs have recommended to do that for now. And what resolution are you plaing on?

popkiller3739d ago

Just disable nvidia dof, and the game runs perfectly smooth... i get 5-10sec freezes and massive lags everytime the game loads a check point when i have nvidia dof enabled..

The game is fine, people just need to know how to properly adjust the graphics settings and not crank everything to MAX. Have a read... http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...

It was on default settings not cranked up. Company said its a known issue and they are working in it.

Nobody bought it for an obvious reason.

Gamingsince198165d ago

Wtf did this edition come with ? A real helicopter and a real zombie virus ?

Vithar65d ago

For one lucky person willing to spend $386,000, the My Apocalypse Edition of Dying Light promised a staggering collection. It included the buyer’s face in the game, a human-sized ‘Volatile’ statue, and parkour lessons with a freerunning team. It also came with night vision goggles, an all-expenses paid round trip to Techland’s offices, and four signed copies of the game. Oh, and it also came with a custom-built, ‘zombie-proof’ survival shelter.

LOL but it was a stunt from the team:
‘It was a PR stunt and got a lot of media attention for its wild and over-the-top nature, it was designed to generate buzz around the game’s release. It did a great job of getting the game noticed, though! But nobody purchased it – thankfully, I guess!’

I finally beat DL2 this past weekend. I’ll pick up the Beast for sure.

It got a lot of shit from fans more not being as scary at night on release. I was in that boat. But once I gave it a fair shot I really loved it. The movement was so much more expressive to me. I enjoyed the story too.... for the most part. Was my game of the year when it came out. With all the updates for darker nights and all that, it's even better. I feel almost exactly the same about stalker 2 right now. The erojank games are scratching my itch.
