10 Reasons Why Nintendo Will Dominate 2015

Pixel Gate UK writes:

''Nintendo started 2014 in a pretty rough state. While the 3DS was doing well, the Wii U was struggling in terms of sales, and it’s public reputation. Often a system that was mocked, for it’s lack of games and less powerful hardware, Nintendo had a task on their hands when it came to pushing the Wii U out there. After a strong run of releases, and a fantastic E3, Nintendo ended 2014 in style. The Wii U now boasts the likes of Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros and Bayonetta 2.

2015 has been ushered in by Nintendo riding a wave of a success, let alone a new money maker in the shape of Amiibos. Nintendo look set to take 2015 by storm, with a host of new original games, returning iconic franchises and a new shiny 3DS. Here are ten reasons why Nintendo will dominate 2015.''

Might have to get the New 3DS LL just for Xenoblade Chronicles alone.

The system is really nice. It feels a lot more sturdy and more solid compared to the other models. The C stick is pretty nifty as well. Obviously there's no 'New 3ds' games out yet, but the load times on older 3ds are a bit quicker when played on the new system. Amiibo scanning is a little tricky to get used to at first.

Other than that the system is pretty sweet, i still have no idea why they didn't give it a more distinctive name

gangsta_red1360d ago

Yea, I find that strange. Nintendo is known for at least handing out fun and quirky names for their handhelds and systems.

It's almost as if they just said "the hell with it". I mean they had 3DS, 3DSXL, 2DS and now NEW's like they didn't know where to go next.

Thanks for the review, I'm going to definitely check it out. I'm sure Nintendo will come out with a special Xenoblade special edition bundle, that's when I'll snag one.

Yeah and Xenoblade Chronicles X should be on the list too.

And while I agree that this will be a big ur for Nintendo, I'm still not sold that they will dominate.

randomass1711360d ago

I'd like to get one but can't really afford it right now. too many games on PS4 and Wii U are coming out!

Xenoblade X alone is enough to keep me busy for the rest of the year, if it lives up to that final playtime check of 300 hours.XD

I'd say this will probably be my most anticipated 2015 game, right alongside Zelda U.

Well, unless they come out with an absolutely stunning new Metroid game or surprise me with another internet-crashing surprise exclusive from a third party, like Bayonetta 2 was.
Then things might get hard to judge.XD

Star Fox is another one...Depending on what shape the game takes it could be a pretty heavy hitter, especially with Miyamoto's involvement (although right now it feels more low-profile.)

Summons751360d ago

I'm still surprised for a game that is releasing this year (and probably before the Holiday season because that will be Zelda's release) they haven't showed a lick of footage.

Star Fox existed in an experimental state for like 7 years. They were still using assets from the time they were experimenting on Wii and all of those need to be overhauled...Even though the'd worked out the gameplay at that point (and probably a lot of the rest of the game.) Once they get everything up to today's standards I'm sure we'll see something.

I hate the "Dominate" BS headlines. Zelda and X are high on my list of priorities, but so is Bloodborne and Uncharted 4. I also plan to get an X1 in the 2015 holiday season, so no one platform is dominating this household.

jholden32491360d ago (Edited 1360d ago )

No one is talking about PS4 or Xbox One here.

Nintendo can dominate the year and it has nothing to do with either of the other two platforms. It didn't say Nintendo is going to dominate SONY, or dominate MICROSOFT, it just said Nintendo is going to dominate. Meaning, have a slammin' year. Why so defensive? Even if they were saying Nintendo is going to have a better year than Sony and Microsoft why it does that offend you? Who cares what someone else thinks. Play your games and be happy.

InTheLab1360d ago

Why so defensive? Why, the very definition of the word "dominate" is why. Google it and you'll understand why you're getting disagrees.

Didn't a site say that last year and the year before?

I still need to get a Wii U again.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory1360d ago

the year before last year? It was launched on Nov. 18, 2012. It only been 2 years and 2 months.

OmegaShen1360d ago

2013 and 2014. You need to do your math better.

ABizzel11360d ago

Dominate is the wrong word to use. Succeed is better.

PixelGateUk1360d ago

Then we'd get 40 comments defining what 'succeed' means.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
