"Rockstar/Take 2’s blockbuster has now notched up a total of seven weeks at No1 which is more weeks at No1 than any other GTA title. ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ (-3%) and ‘FIFA 15’ (-10%) swap places with Activision Blizzard’s title up one place to No2 and ‘FIFA 15’ dropping one place to No3. Deep Silver/Koch’s new release ‘Saints Row IV Re-Elected / Gat Out of Hell’ debuts at No4. It is the chart-topper’s first appearance on PS4 and Xbox One and comes bundled with the new stand-alone expansion. A big retailer promotion on ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ helps boost sales by 401%, propelling it back into the Top 10, up from No30 to No5.

‘Far Cry 4’ (-21%) slips 2 places to No6, ahead of ‘Minecraft: Xbox Edition’ (-4%) which is also down 2 places at No7. Like the Xbox Edition, sales of ‘Minecraft: Playstation Edition’ remain reasonably stable, down only 3%, as it also drops 2 places to No9. ‘Rugby 15’ from Big Ben/Koch debuts at No8, while ‘Ubisoft’s ‘The Crew’ (-22%) fa...

GTAV sales are unbelievable. Rockstar would be stupid to not release a GTA collection.

Skankinruby3803d ago

So sick and tired of hearing about this game. It wasn't nearly good enough to deserve the sales it got

kinda feels like it just makes the image have less contrast, removing shadows somewhat.
Even if it's "more realistic" I think the standard looks better. Not in every situation but the standard likely runs better so I'll side with that more than likely.

Milk...get your milk...and so much more. Really when you release the same games in three editions over 15 years it's amazing how much money, and the amount of sales you earn. It's amazing how no one can compete.

Mr_cheese40d ago

To be fair, no many companies could release the same game over and over. They've earned that whether we agree or not

DarXyde39d ago

I mean Resident Evil 4 has had longer legs and still hasn't done anything like this.

Profchaos40d ago (Edited 40d ago )

GTA v isn't the only game that's released three consoles generations running but nothing has sold those numbers including GTA San Andreas which is now 4 console generations deep.

anast39d ago

Looks like a 2040 release for GTA6

gold_drake39d ago

thats insane right?
absolutely insane

No surprising considering that it’s been on every major platform and store.

I decided to look up the longest and most sold games list. To my surprise Tetris has takes the top spot.

I mean, considering the amount of time between the two. It better be a massive upgrade. Especially with the amount of money Rockstar raked in from GTA Online.

Most of scenes are pre rendered

andy8547d ago

Literally none are. If you know anything about rockstar they don't do that. Confirmed by themselves that this is all in-game

MDTunkown47d ago

Is that why first gta5 trailer looked better than the final product? Or is that why same happened with rdr2 ?
Rockstar told 50% are cutscenes and rockstars always used better models during cutscenes than in game.
You legit seems to know rockstar very well.

andy8546d ago (Edited 46d ago )

It didn't though? And neither did RDR2. In fact it was actually the opposite. What's with the hate boner? If you don't like it just avoid the topic

InUrFoxHole46d ago

Why don't either of you provide proof. This is just a he said, she said argument at this point

generic-user-name47d ago

You're either lying or just don't know what pre rendered means. Pre rendered means that if you change the character's appearance (clothes, accessories etc) they wouldn't show up in the cutscenes because they were already made and aren't being rendered in real time. This is something that doesn't happen in Rockstar games.

"Is that why first gta5 trailer looked better than the final product? Or is that why same happened with rdr2 ?"

In fact some of the scenes in RDR2 looked better in the retail version than at launched.

The OP is taking the shot-gun approach: say a bunch of random tripe and see if something sticks.

Damn! GTAV graphics are still awesome! But, I am so excited to play GTA6!!!
