Independent developer TreeFortress Games has announced its new 2D, old school inspired platformer JumpJet Rex is now available on Steam Early Access for $9.99.

I got it because all the space sim games in the news lately has piqued my interest. The last game I played like this was DarkStar One on 360, which was a great game. I prefer more traditional space flight action sims. Opinions on Elite Dangerous are pretty positive, with a few saying it's too nerdy.
