David Hayter on Snake’s Voice: “I Approached the Voice Like You Would With A Singing Job”

Voice actor and screenwriter David Hayter has revealed the warm-up routine that he would do in preparation for performing the iconic voice of Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series.

My Theory: We are playing with the Big Boss's double and Hayter is the real one, i believe he is still in a Coma or something. its really fishy, i never trust Kojima and Hayter. They troll way too much.

If you are playing MGS, your mind is being played the whole time, and you will experience things you can't explain, describe, or understand until you pull back into a 5th dimension AKA Kojima's mind and look into it form a distance. Who truly knows what is in store?

Takes things to a whole new level when the mind games make it out of the game and the developers play tricks on you outside the game too. Don't get me wrong, I think its fantastic.

Remember having to move your controller from slot 1 to slot 2? If MGS5 does have such a huge plot twist that Hayter does indeed have a voice role but was asked to keep quiet it would be so perfectly in line with Kojima's crazy ideas, and the reason people love the MGS franchise in the first place.

Yeah, but no lie... I bought ground zeros back in November and every time I heard "snake" speak. It transitioned me from MGS to playing as Jack Bauer lOl. Nothing bad at all the game is great, it just messes me up when I hear his voice. 24 is a badass show so to play as Jack Bauer in a MGS game is an honor indeed.

All these stupid theories of Big Boss being Gray Fox or Decoy Octopus and Chico being Quiet are getting out of control. To think you're not playing as the legendary hero Big Boss himself is idiotic. It's him! Enough with the stupid theories. Yes, Kojima replaced Hayter but I'm SURE Kojima has plans for David Hayter to return as the the iconic voice that we all love and cherish.

The Chico/Quiet theory was ridiculous but the Snake theories at least have merit to them considering Hayter's voice files have been found in the game, the doctor looks EXACTLY like Snake, there has been a lot of inconsistencies in interviews and demos. Granted it could all be just people trying to find things because Kojima loves to hide puzzles, either way time will reveal the answers

If you really think that Hayter will be voicing the real Snake in the game, I have a feeling that you will be disappointed. I know Kojima is a Troll-Master level 9001, but this theory just seems too out there to me.

I think everyone should at least give Sutherland a chance, I love how TPP is shaping up.
