I Was Told Villager & Wii Fit Trainer Would Become Rare & Valuable, Still Didn’t Buy Them

damn these retailer exclusive ones though - Lucario and Rosalina are causing issues up here in Canada because neither store has the preorders available even though we will be getting stock.

Better get yourself to the store on launch morning. My friend wants me to drive her to our local Target so we can attempt to get a few lol. I don't think we will succeed and we will likely have to go with the eBay route. Curse you scalpers!

My girlfriend bought a few of these then we stopped. We have Villager, Wii Fit trainer, Pit, Yoshi, Mario, Fox... some others I forget, but we stopped purchasing them because of the awful model quality.

If you're in it as a collector it's great that you have an toy that will only increase in value, but as a fan of the characters you're probably better of just spending on other merch.

The actual functionality in-game is really rather insignificant, and the ugly looking supports really ruin most of the figures.

i personally dont bother with reselling things, so unless i want a full collection of something i woulndt really class the ones i dont like as valuable. dont care how rare they are.

i think the biggest problem is people putting monetary value in collections when they really shouldnt.

Don't support the scalpers. Plus you can get the rare ones overseas if you really want said figure/toy. I only want Marth because I like Fire Emblem but could care less about the Villager and Wii Fit Trainer. Would be nice to complete the set but if I don't Oh well.

scalpers can do what they want. they have the right to do it.

its just most other people feel they need to get something because its rare. or has a bigger monetary value.

wiifit trainer or animal crossing kid are rare because no one actually wants them.

yeah scalpers can do what they want... I just won't support them. i could of had 3 pit Amiibos but why? I only need one. Taking advantage of people isn't cool. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. You should see some of the prices on Amazon and some with $20 shipping! If we ever had a food shortage people would be doing the same thing SMH.

I feel your pain OP. I freaking work at Gamestop. I don't have a Wii U but plan to get one eventually. I worked the midnight release for the Smash Launch and as I was unpacking the boxes I seriously considered getting Marth. I don't have a Wii U I said. I can wait until next paycheck I said. There will be plenty I said. Hey this Villager one looks cool too I said. We only have one and it isn't preorded. I should just buy these right now I said. No I will wait until tomorrow I said.
