We’ve heard that development on Xenoblade Chronicles X is nearly complete which is good news for those of us avidly waiting for it. Texture looks sharper in the Nintendo Direct. Finally a game that has not been downgraded at launch lol.

Metallox3810d ago

Seriously, it looks the same and has been looking the same its revealing.

randomass1713810d ago

Nah, there is a little more detail if you look at the side by side comparison. Not a lot but it's there IMO.

Bansai3810d ago (Edited 3810d ago )

I wish people would compare the graphic from first trailers to the current ones, trust me, the downgrade is there, massive one.

I mean just take a look at this trailer: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

or look at this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/O3zkBAV....

Notice the details, crispy textures and then look at this: http://o.aolcdn.com/hss/sto... Looks like something from PS2 era, blurry etc.

But I guess Nintendo is a holy cow of the industry so nobody cares right?

@ bansai

The texture quality is in fact the same. That the graphics appear to be different is due to the lighting. The shot you are pointing out features a lot of light. That leads to few shadows, what in turn leads to the impression the fidelity is reduced.

for example these shots from the same trailer tell a completely different story, simply because of a more favourable light/view angle.

Well I suppose I didn't explain myself very clearly.

The game has not been downgraded, but that doesn't mean it has got an upgrade either, it has looked exactly the same all the time.

Still more concerned about combat and story.

Given the title, at least the combat will be

* The Colors look more "true" and sharp.

I can see a difference, but I couldn't say one looks better or worse than the other TBH.

But they certainly moved a few rocks in the background XD.

DarkOcelet3810d ago

The grass textures looks more refined now. Especially in the first gif.

masterfox3810d ago

well the trees look bushier I think

BigDuo3810d ago

I spotted some more foliage added, changes made to the shapes of the trees, slightly better mountain and grass textures too. Not bad for Monolith Soft's first HD title. Although, I'm sure we'll be more impressed by the attention to detail and scale of the environments than the graphical fidelity of Xenoblade Chronicles X if the first Xenoblade title is anything to go by.

This is how you create an open world, it makes me want to explore.

Hmmm interesting. Hopefully true, liking the slowly but surely partnership between the big 3. Just imagine all the xenoblade games officially on pc. I think mcsft going 3rd party but still making consoles fits them.

Xenoblade chronicles X is not there

Either removed or the picture shown was edited, but it is currently not there

NettosGameRoom11d ago

You can still view it using the internet archive!

This is good. Real good if Nintendo is smart to capitalize.

I would bet a lot of money it’s not happening

Reason number 1 why I haven’t played yet:
Cannot commit the time. :/

GotGame81856d ago

The nice thing about X is you have a Follow Ball. If you haven't played for a few days it will help you jump right back in! Fantastic game! You should at least have 5 initial hours over 2 days or so to invest. I also suggest grinding to at least level 14 before chapter 3.

Zeldafan6455d ago

It's nice that definitive edition makes level grinding easier. Quite a bit quicker than the original release.

PRIMORDUS55d ago

I bought it thinking it was like the trilogy and expansion on Switch. I played it for 15 or so hours and stopped. Couldn't get into it, the gameplay was not like the previous ones, it was not what I expected.😕

Dhika55d ago

I bought it on the Wii U years ago and couldn’t get into it too 🙁

PRIMORDUS55d ago

I feel ya, sucks cause I wanted to like it, I tried.

Greatest RPG ever except end game makes it impossible to complete for anyone who focused on mech battles. Do not focus on mechs or you will be disappointed

1 - 3 are connected. Idk if X is connected since I haven't beaten the epilogue in X yet. X will probably be connected.
