Neill Blomkamp's Halo Movie Prop Photos

Director of "District 9" and the upcoming sci-fi action thriller "Chappie" Neill Blomkamp was set to direct a Halo movie some years ago. Since then the project has fallen apart but a few props and sculptures have survived and been kept as souvenirs by the South African. Every now and again he treats his fans via Instagram of what could have been.

Glad that didn't happen, I want this and gears movie to stay true to the looks of the video, not their vision... I sure fans would complain of how characters looks... If that's how the aliens was gonna look, I'd hate to see master chief's armor.

that one pic look better then nightfall xd

I'm upset that it didn't happen but at the same time games are getting so much more cinematic that there's no need for a film adaption.

Still though the models are cool!

District 9 it's an amazing movie and one of my favorites ever, didn't know that Neil Blomkamp's was responsible for a Halo movie, could be great.

I'd rather him to that Alien 5 film...those pictures of an older Hicks and Ripley look amazing.

At the rate in which we have been getting them, and the selections such as TLOU and Horizon and other similarly unnecessary remasters, no.

In terms of reintroducing classics and making them available again at a reasonable price where as previously they were locked behind ridiculously priced physical copies, yes.

Luc20212d ago

agree with the Horizon but TLOU - I've never played it and the remaster it's quite impressive graphically so for someone who never played the original game it's a treat to enjoy such quality!

There a plenty of gamers who switch platforms and so I guess the remasters are meant for those

There is a new crop of gamers every generation that didn’t play the originals and some of us older games want remasters of older games to play them on current hardware. Overall I say yes it is good. Nobody is forced to buy them.
They can also gauge interest for older IP with remasters and it could lead to a new game in the series. Remasters aren’t for everyone but no game is anyway

Chances are their parents did... and may still have them. That's how I introduced my kids to gaming. They played what I had and worked their way up. They learn to appreciate them better that way.

I don't have an issue if they don't take away from developing new games. It's always nice to revisit a game you loved in the past with extra shine

gold_drake212d ago

remasters of older games absolutely.

but i dont see how a 4 year old game needs a ... Remaster. a upgrade update should do the trick

bjt i guess for newer players its a good option.
