Sony's been getting stick for staying somewhat static in 2014, but we reckon that the PlayStation 4 is already in a strong position from a system software perspective. There's plenty that could be improved upon, of course – but outside of the odd missing media function, the console's been fairly competent since its launch last year. This article is proof of that, as it took us a while to dream up ten really meaningful improvements that would enhance the hardware in 2015. A few Christmas conversations later, though, here's what we've come up with.

How about improvements to the way videos get copied to USB thumb drives? Right now these copies take much longer than they should. If they must take that long, can they at least happen in the background so it doesn't tie the PS4 up for a long time?
Another feature I'd like to see is when you upgrade your internal drive, it would be nice to be able to plug it in and clone the contents of the existing drive first.
Right now, you need to download the firmware from a PC, then redownload all your games and restore all your saved data. Takes a long time to restore everything if you don't have the fastest connection.
Nothing on the list in reference to better use of the PS Camera so from what I've been told Microsoft owns Skype but, last time I checked doesn't the Vita come with it? Something should be added other then using it for streaming our face recognition.
