Rebecca Chambers Will Return in Resident Evil Zero on PS4, PS3

It seems like Capcom's not even going to bother waiting to see if its forthcoming Resident Evil re-release is successful, as it appears to be lining up a remastered version of divisive GameCube prequel Resident Evil Zero as we type. Eagle eyed fans spotted the game's icon on a PlayStation 4 dashboard image, which the publisher is using to promote the free theme that comes with pre-orders for its aforementioned REmake retread.

Seriously Waiting for Resident Evil Complete Full 1080p HD Remaster Collection on PS4 like I did the Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles 720p HD Remaster Collection on PS3.

Pretty sure Capcom will call it Ultimate RE Complete Full HD Remastered Collection including RE0, RE, RE2, RE3, RE Code Veronica, RE4, RE5 Gold Edition, RE6

I will no longer call Capcom as Crapcom if they do this for PS4.

And if this is their way of testing grounds for a back to roots RE game then Capcom will have all my support.

GameSpawn3404d ago (Edited 3404d ago )

Chronicles was a weird take on gameplay for me for the series.

My favorite to this day will still be RE3 as it was one of the first ones I played and owned. Went through that game and Dino Crisis 2 (got it around the same time) NUMEROUS times speed running and trying to best my own times.

Code Veronica was also pretty good, but you missed the Outbreak games in your list as well. They may not be as canon as the number games, but after RE6 canon shouldn't really be argued anymore as that game went off the rails.

Ging_Freecs3404d ago

I hope it comes to Xbox one too because im still saving to get a ps4 :'(.

Loktai3404d ago

EH if it doesnt you'll just save up for the ps4 faster and have ALL the consoles/games possible. One thing I find works is selling my body either in the form of carnal favors or literally in chunks on the black market.

Meryl3404d ago

Why did you even get a XOne, ps4 isn't that much more expensive? Everyone knows ps4 has the best multipliers plus the best exclusives, it's the best place to play games.

NegativeCreep4273404d ago (Edited 3404d ago )

Cool. I thought they were going to wait to see how well the first RE HD remaster was going to sell, but it looks like Capcom is sprinting out the gate and are just getting RE1 and RE0 HD remasters through to PS4 owners. When is the rumored release day? The Resident Evil 1 HD remaster is out on January 20th.

_-EDMIX-_3404d ago

...???? Its a port. They will make profit day 1, they have nothing to lose with creating another port and don't need to see how RE HD does to make REZero...

NegativeCreep4273403d ago (Edited 3403d ago )

I understand what you're trying to say, but I was looking at it from a more realistic business perspective. Most companies set profit targets for certain, if not all of their products and I just assumed Capcom would set a specific target for the profits for the RE HD remaster before continuing on.

Because you know there's a big difference between a $10,000 profit and a potential $100,000 profit.

cero553404d ago

SO many remasters but im somewhat happy,Imagine megaman anniversary and x hd collection? These companies are trying to retire my ps2 and gamecube. :) Please Give me Onimusha now

GokuSolosAll3404d ago

This is an underrated game. It's not quite as good as, say, RE2 or RE3, bur better than RE5 and RE6. Definitely worth buying day 1 for me.

KingOfOldSkool3404d ago

I agree, despite some of it's annoyances it was still a solid survival horror experience, which cannot be said about either 5 or 6.

Bhuahahaha3404d ago

good
but they should've bundle this one with RE hd remaster

XXXL3404d ago

For sure. Bundle it up and give me a physical copy

_-EDMIX-_3404d ago

....yes, they should also give their games for free.

I mean...since we are suggesting stupid business moves and all.

Resident Evil 1996 - 2023 - A Look at some Resident Evil games and how the visuals improved

CG writes: In this video we take a look at the original 1996 release of Capcom’s Resident Evil on the PSOne, then go through most of the more popular games in the long-running series. You can see the full list below in chronological order of release (or thereabouts). Sure, there are some notable omissions such as Resident Evil Chronicles and Resident Evil Outbreak 1 & 2 etc. but the video does a great job of highlighting how the game’s visuals progressed over 25 years. The last game in the video showcases the Resident Evil 4 remake which released earlier this year.

Quite amazing how in late 90s those pre-rendered static backgrounds were like the bees knees. I am wondering what a game would look like today if it used the same pre-rendered backgrounds. Are we looking at photo-realistic environments or is there no need when you have games like UNRECORD using UE5?

Spenok206d ago

I would say no need when you consider games like Unrecord.

ApocalypseShadow206d ago

Not just the visuals. But the immersion since 3 of them are in VR

Resident Evil Games That Still Deserve A Remake More Than RE4

There are plenty of Resident Evil games ripe with remake potential that Capcom is seemingly leaving on the table by choosing to focus on RE4.

I will never understand why Code Veronica has not received a Remake (Darkside Chronicles doesn’t count). Hot take here, but it’s my favorite of the games. First game where Wesker became a bamf and I always liked the music and enemy/boss variety.

InklingGirl576d ago

Code Veronica deserved to be next in line for a remake, why people still after all these years and different platforms feel they need a RE4 remake is beyond me.

Shinox576d ago

its not the people, its Capcom's greedy ass that have no appreciation for their past or their classics
the demand was high for CVX Remake even Capcom knows it

Army_of_Darkness576d ago (Edited 576d ago )

It's all about the sales and popularity bro! That's what Capcom and any other company for that matter, is going by for potential remakes.

I'd love a shadows of the damned remake, but that's never gonna happen.

Stonilein576d ago

this game is hard as hell but i love it

Code Veronica would bring in some serious cash for Capcom.

Resident Evil Final Bosses Ranked From Worst To Best

BLG writes: "Some thrive on fear and the way it makes their blood pump. There is something that can be said about fighting a boss that leaves you with cold sweats, tense muscles, and a lingering feeling of dread once the game has been put away. Resident Evil is a series that offers this in spades. For the final bosses of resident Resident Evil to be successful, those battles should be scary, exciting, look cool visually, and satisfying to blow apart."

I swear, Resident Evil bosses are like Final Fantasy bosses, "you think you defeated me? Prepared for my new form!", "Be prepared for my final form!"..

Why cant i just shoot a damn greedy CEO of a corrupt company that is manufacturing viruses?
