DS:
"Value is often hard to discuss when it comes to reviews - since £20 means more to some people than others - with 'The Dark Below', Destiny's first expansion, you can't help but feel it's a bit of a rip-off.
For £20 - or when bought alongside the next expansion for £35, so around £17.50 - you're getting three story missions, a new Strike (or two on PlayStation platforms), three new multiplayer maps and the Raid, alongside a host of new weapons and armor up for grabs.
When you consider that you're paying a third of the game's original value for a fraction of the content, it feels like a poor proposition."
Here, Twinfinite is writing that Destiny, despite being a T rated franchise, is full of dark and brooding moments that showcase the best of the team's narrative potential. They further write that, while Destiny 2 has not delivered as much as it should have on this front, Forsaken appears to be the big step that it needs to return to its greatest moments.
Destiny has amassed a small collection of Strikes. Check out how they stack up against one another.
I miss the Summoning Pits, bring it back!
Omnigul is still the hardest Strike even with the new ones added.
As part of the My Games Lounge look back on the first year of Destiny, David game has had a look individually at the expansion packs to the core game.
I had the season pass from my collectors edition. Don't buy the DLC unless you're a huge fan of the game (or maybe even then, don't buy it) It just sucks. Few story missions, short strike, raid (I always like raids so that's fun but not enough) and grind grind grind grind, once again spend months on upgrading your gears just so it will all become worthless when new expansion arrives and blue items will become more powerful than your exotics.
Why a review-in-progress, when the content itself only take a couple of hours to go through?
Of course this article is correct.
It merely comes down to one question. Do you like raids and want to do a new one? If answer is yes, buy DLC. If answer is no, probably time to put down Destiny for awhile.
Going to come back when the game is finish. Kind done with the grinding got so boring even with friends. We all decided to move on we seen all what they have to offer. They first dlc was a let down, the raid extremely easy. Would Been real kul if game have sword you can buy and find. Questions why eris have a rope attach to the railing? Is the ship going fly off by it self lol
