They need to throw more first party title support and maybe some dedicated smaller titles to make this stand out. If we're being honest Kinect would have a better time in this since it is a much more advanced camera. Though I think camera's in general are mostly a gimmick with little practical use besides streaming yourself, live chat or using the microphone.

It is going to play a major part with VR. If people already have the can, the VR wouldn't seem as expensive.

I wish they would support the Move again before Morphus even comes out...

XisThatKid2028d ago

If more games utilized the camera, it would be novel but always a welcomed feature if not done crappy.

I hope more people get this thing before ProMorph comes to shelves

Def Agreed, The Move would def be cool for this gen if supported right.

nosferatuzodd2027d ago

yeah kineck is more advance what that got to do with anything you dont anyone touting ps4 is the more advance system in every post

Am I the only one who didn't know the ps camera could do half of the things I saw in that video. Damn, the camera is a lot better than I thought.

GameDev12028d ago

Same here, I didnt really feel the need to get one immediately since you could do voice control without it but I pretty much decided to get it anyway next year just to make the PS feel complete

roland822028d ago

Why say 'Playstation start' when you already have the controller in hand and could just push a button?

DigitalRaptor2028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

IF the controller isn't in your hand but across the room. It may save you time, so you say "PlayStation start" and then whilst it's loading the game, you can go over and get the controller.

Personally I agree, but it depends on the situation I guess.

CYCLEGAMER2028d ago (Edited 2028d ago )

I agree...it looked like the game had to be highlighted b4 saying start.

The way the the kinect makes this feature useful, is that you can access anything from anywhere. Example: If I am watching tv and I want game, all I have to say is...xbox go to x game or app and it goes there.

rainslacker2028d ago

You can do that on the PS4 also. It's fickle though and some games don't start using voice commands. They don't have to be highlighted to start them.

Here's a list of commands, which was edited to include some of the new ones.

The X1 UI is a little more streamlined for voice commands though.

"it looked like the game had to be highlighted b4 saying start."

No. You can say "Playstation" and then the name of any game or app on your system. It doesn't have to be highlighted first.

Vanfernal2028d ago

Well it was a bad example on the video. But you can say "Playstation" the name of a game and "Start" . It's handy if you don't want to scroll through all the games to find the one you want. Pretty convenient

I wish it would follow your head and keep it in the profile box when streaming and stuff. It's annoying that you have to position it to the exact position you are at and not move out of the box. I like all the stuff they showed they were working on for it on the SDK side of things recently, they just need to get it going.

Koneesha2028d ago

Well it kinda does that with the last ps4 update. It will find your head in the room and put the box around it.
