Oddly Sony is using an image of Mega Man from Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS on their Playstation 20th anniversary website.
NetherRealm confirms its Mortal Kombat franchise has sold over 80 million copies in the last 30 years, and here's how it competes against other fighters.
Don't care what anyone says, Smash isn't a traditional fighting game. May as well call Powerstone and Playstation All Stars fighting games. They're more of an arena fighter /party game.
Including Smash Bros in a list of fighting games, is like including GTA in Racing games.
The designer of the original Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64 shows us the prototype that started it all.
Kim writes: "Super Smash Bros. will not be shown at Evo 2022, this year's biggest fighting game event. The Sony-owned sports organization announced the loss of the platformer in a statement on Twitter today, and seemed to blame the decision on Nintendo, which has historically tried to control how their games appear in the wild."
In away this hurts Nintendo Smash Bros has some dedicated fans. What better way to help build hype and sell more of the game then showcasing it at EVO.
Even if it was featured in Smash, I'm pretty sure that's Capcom's own design, not Nintendo's.
Super Smash Bros x All-Stars Battle Royale confirmed!
It wouldn't be the first time something like this happened. Remember when Sony accidentally used Project Gotham to advertise Gran Turismo?
Wait, Sakurai and his team made that model. Is'nt that stealing someone elses work? It is like if a sony dev made a model of simon belmont for a game and Nintendo put it in there 125th anniversary picture.
I suppose the art and models for Smash are too awesome Sony wanted to steal it. XD
I do believe Capcom signed a thing like most game companies that the work of the character in the game must stay in the game. If this is not the case then Sony can also just take footage of Smash bros mega man in action and put it in an anniversary video.
They have Travis Touchdown, who started one the Wii and had a sequel on the Wii, with one game on PS3 and 360 that still no one cared about (other than me, the Wii version is fun).
Interesting choice. I don't think they spent much time making this.
