The series of games goes on sale for $10 or less.

Notellin23d ago

That's significantly more expensive than free.

starsi36022d ago

Thanks for this info, I almost went ahead and got it for free but now I'll wait for it to go on sale at $10 or less.

goken23d ago

I bought it for $5, of course free is definitely better.
It’s a good game, definitely worth getting free or not

Phoenix7622d ago

Just added it to my library. Thanks for the heads up

Reaper22_22d ago

Free is always good. So many good games to play on xbox. It's hard to keep up.

ZeekQuattro22d ago

Not according to Anast. Apparently the game routinely being on sale is a better deal than it being free.

Reaper22_22d ago

That's only because it's xbox. With him almost anything xbox is bad.👹

I claimed it yesterday from Steam but I find it odd that I still cannot claim it through my XB. It's supposed to be free to keep there as well.

Profchaos62d ago

I couldn't get it on Xbox either

anast63d ago

It's a 2014 game so it should work well on this device, I would grab asap if I had a Steam Deck.

Scissorman63d ago

It says its 2.99 not free and I'm on the Steam Deck...what am I missing?

DaReapa63d ago

"Metro 2033 Redux is currently available to claim for free on Steam Deck and PC. But, to get the game for free, you must claim it before 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM BST on April 16th."

Miacosa63d ago

Don't need a Steam Deck to get this deal.

Profchaos62d ago

Do we really need the clickbait title just say metro 2033 Redux is free

shadowhaxor62d ago

Exactly. This crap is what gives gaming journalism a bad name.

Snookies1262d ago

Look at what site it comes from. That's why.

A lot of my favourites are on this list so I whole heartedly approve.
Everything except The Observer. It started out really interesting but quickly unraveled into a train wreck. Including frustratingly dull dives into mind sequences, They neutered the monster with boring on rail stealth sequences and a laughably obvious and cringeworthy ending. Mix in bugs and some wonky controls to boot.
I had really strong impressions with it to start but ended up absolutely hating it.

I got 2-3hrs in and couldn't take it anymore, the constant need to switch between the 3 visions just became so annoying and honestly just unnecessary.

monkey602954d ago

I actually agree. At first I thought it was a great idea because the game wasn't holding your hand with the Detective work but it was so unintuitive too. It became a sequence of staring at everything for long enough in 3 different vision modes just to see what stuck.

Soma would be more existential horror than anything but I'll be damned if it didn't have one of the best stories in game that I've experienced. Blew my mind.
