That isn’t normally something I would say in a Playtest. A Playtest is a place for critique, analysis, and occasionally consumer advice, not shilling for some uncaring corporation’s product. However, that experience I had when I was 14, of discovering Ace Attorney almost by accident and being thoroughly impressed by a type of game I had never played before… it was an important experience for me. It fundamentally altered how I view violence in games, visual novels, and it even made me think I wanted to be a lawyer for a spell."
The Ace Attorney franchise is truly the little franchise that could, and with the next game coming via the Switch, we're counting down the best characters!
No Shelly de Killer? Well, it's hard enough making a top list of characters for this game, so I wouldn't hold it against him.
There were a lot of great characters I had to leave off sadly. Gumshoe, Franzika Von Karma, Klavier, Simon Blackquill! I didn't realize it would be this hard, but I had to make some tough decisions.
Play: "We pick out the best detective games that have come out on PlayStation systems over the years (though we did have to make one exception…)."
