Hands-On With Cinemaware's Rocket Ranger Reloaded - Cliqist

Julie Morley writes: "What if the Nazis actually won World War II? Can you imagine how the world would have changed under the control and utter destruction of the Nazi regime? Well, Cinemaware, creators of the fantastic Wings! Remastered Edition, asked that very question back in the late '80's with Rocket Ranger and now they're revisiting it via Kickstarter. Rocket Ranger Reloaded is similar to the Wings! reboot in that it's crowdfunded, dramatically updated, but is still in touch with its heritage."

Rocket Ranger Reloaded Grounded, Kickstarter Backers Get Refunds

Dan Miller writes: "As previously reported, in September 2015 developer Cinemaware gave backers of Rocket Ranger Reloaded the opportunity to vote on whether or not the troubled project should continue. At the time two thirds of those who voted opted to permit Cinemaware two more years, but six weeks later a backer-only update has confirmed the project is cancelled and all pledges will be refunded."

Good call, although I think one could argue it's the other way around since the original Rocket Ranger came out before The Rocketeer.

Never knew that. Haha, I guess you could tell how old I am by my original comment.

Rocket Ranger Reloaded in Trouble, Backers Asked to Vote on its Future

Dan Miller writes: "Following a long period of ominous silence, Kickstarter backers of Rocket Ranger Reloaded have got the news that many were expecting - the project was in trouble. A refreshingly honest backer-only update from developer Cinemaware confirmed that roughly $30,000 of pledges had not been collected due to refused credit card payments and attempts to secure an investor had failed. Given that the total amount originally pledged in December 2014 was only $90,715 (just about creeping past its $90,000 goal in a nail-biting finish) this represented nearly a third of the amount raised."
