That’s right folks. Fire Emblem 7 (otherwise known as Fire Emblem GBA) is making its way to the Wii U eShop tomorrow and those who pick it up will be able to experience what it was like to clash blades whilst partaking in action-filled battles or simply get the chance to rekindle nostalgia-filled memories for those that played the game when it originally came out back in April 2003.
BLG writes: "The Fire Emblem games are a storied part of Nintendo’s history. Debuting only in Japan in 1990, it gave the first Nintendo consoles an enjoyable fantasy RPG-strategy experience. With 2003’s Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, the series made its debut in North America (Europe and Australia got a 2004 release). Since then, the franchise has been a mainstay on every Nintendo system."
I still own Fire Emblem POF and RD. Those entries are uber pricey now. I wish they would bring back the transforming units from those games. Radiant Dawn was pretty hard too but at least you could save before each turn. Saved me the trouble of having to redo many a map due to unlucky enemy crits. lol
Thracia 776, Heroes and Warriors are all awful. I ignore them when discussing Fire Emblem altogether
Top 5:
1. Awakening
2. Three Houses
3. Blazing Blade
4. Sacred Stones
5. Path of Radiance.
I've played most of the others, but they didn't really hook me.
Stay away from Shadows of Valencia and the DS remakes.
When Fire Emblem first released outside of Japan, there were already six previous games in the franchise. Luckily, thanks to remasters, we have gotten 2 of the Japan-exclusive games, but there are still four more that western audiences and fans have never gotten to play. Other than the 3DS Fire Emblem games, the other entries in the franchise are notoriously rare to get a hold of and even if you do, they are extremely expensive.
The 6th one with Roy. Binding Blade or something like that. It was never officially localized even though you would of thought Nintendo would have at some point seeing as Roy stars in it.
In Episode 97 of Heroes of Handheld, there are discussions on the latest news on Gravity Rush 2, new horror titles coming to Vita and Nintendos Fire Emblem Homosexual Relationship Controversy.
