IndieGameSource interviews designer David Wright and programmer Tobi Harper who are currently working on Eitr, a combat driven exploration game that was inspired heavily by Norse Mythology and follows the quest of the Shield Maiden as she tries to restore order to the 9 Norse Worlds that have been corrupted by the toxic substance known as Eitr.
Twinfinite: “With 2022 coming to a close, here are the games that we really hope to see come to fruition in 2023. Let's get into it!”
I'm pretty sure Eitr is cancelled from what it said on their steam page, I was really looking forward to that one.
This is the year we finally see PS3's Rockstar game: Agent.
Follow that up with the amazing WiLD. Can't wait.
To top it all off, Star Citizen will be complete.
Nelia writes: "Souls-like games are starting to become a popular genre in video games. Here are nine upcoming Souls-like games we think everyone should keep their eyes on."
Wtf is up with twinfinites perpetual add that follows you everywhere. I closed it 7 times and it just kept coming back. I only got halfway through the list before I decided fuck this site for real.
BacklogCritic: "There are many games with RPG elements such as experience points, levels, quests, dialogue trees or wheels, but offering the same solutions and the same outcomes no matter how personalised the characters may seem, which makes them cosmetic RPGs. Here is our top 10 RPGs of all time"
No Skyrim? No Fallout 3/4? No Mass Effect? No Dragon Age? No Dark Souls? No Final Fantasy? Meh
Too many old games nobody plays! This list sucks...
Apart from NV on top and Arx Fatalis in the list, I pretty much agree with it. Good games, in depth systems worthy of being called RPGs. Full blown RPGs.
There are no good rpgs so far. I mean, really good. The genre still has to get a masterpiece (like action adventures e.g.). The closest one so far is Witcher 3, but still so far to go.
