For as long as there have been video game release dates, there have been video game delays. Sometimes, delays are a bad sign, like when a game vanishes for an entire console generation only to find itself cancelled unceremoniously after string fans along for years. Or worse, to launch as a horrible disappointment.
But not all delays necessarily signify grim tidings. Sometimes, those PR claims of making the game better are sincere, and a release gets pushed so the studio can take extra time to polish their work.
