gimmicks used in almost every AAA game. Check it out!
Tom Henderson and Jeff Grubb suggest a 2.5D Metroidvania-style God of War spin-off is in development, set in Greece before Kratos becomes a god.
I wouldn't mind playing that, I'm guessing somewhat in the vein of Prince Of Persia:TLC but hopefully with better graphics.
🤔 Interesting. Nothing wrong with switching it up to a different genre of game for a side project. Hope they don't try to do that to a main entry.
PlayStation - The Concert is a magical musical experience for fans of the brand.
Former PlayStation Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida saw God of War as a "problem" when he first played it, and advocated for its delay.
And it became one of my most favorite games of all time and I still like it more than the sequel.
Well if a game/movie/project needs fixing, especially something with the legacy that god of war does. Delay and fix it, don’t ruin the legacy by releasing crap.
Way to go.
Like Miyamoto famously said.
“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”
I'll agree that QTE's are played out. It's just an old game mechanic. But the article points out "Kinect/Controller" events and puts a pic of the spray painting graffiti from inFAMOUS Second Son... but I rather enjoyed that part of the game. Enough so that I went out seeking all the tag spots.
One thing about QTE's that pisses me off is one game will get deductions for them, while they're seemingly overlooked in the reviews of other games. Bayonetta 2 has QTE's, and no one mentioned them, while God of War games have them at an even lesser level, but get deductions for them. I think the reviewers should be more consistent.
Agreed. Developers taking advantage of the tech is a great thing because it forces them to be creative. I'd rather not have this generation just be "last gen, part 2". In that case, we'd be better off not bothering to invest in new consoles.
Good.
Most of the gimmicks I thought after reading the title were nicely included.
I also want to add breakable equipments and escort missions with awful NPCs.
