The new Heroes of the Might & Magic game, the seventh installment in the series, recently rounded up the votes for its last castle battle, to see which faction makes it into the game, in which Dungeon beat Inferno. While Inferno is one of the most beloved newer factions in the franchise, it went up against Dungeon, a faction that has been in the series since the very first game, with Inferno being first introduced in the third installment. Be that as it may, it will surely piss a lot of people off that Inferno, that has been in every game since the third one, will not be featured in the upcoming seventh game. The only thing there is to hope for, is that they decide to release an expansion including Inferno, as well as the other losing faction (to Sylvan), the Fortress.

Is this even worth playing? Ive only played HoMM3 and enjoyed it. Does anyone recommend any of the other entries in the series?
In Heroes VII, the Duke Ivan calls forth advisers to discuss how to deal with a new threat, as the Empress was recently murdered. Left in her wake are many rivals who wish to conquer the kingdom. Each of the six factions has a story to tell, and you can play as each of them in the interactive retelling of their stories. After completing a minimum of two of them, you can go on to Ivan's final campaign to resolve the issue at hand.
