Just played a round. It's not bad. It's early access so things will get better as new and deeper features are added, but you pilot a big ship around as part of a team trying to capture points while taking out enemy ships on the enemy team trying to do the same.
Seems you earn XP points. Not sure what they unlock, but it also appears you can customize your weapons, your crew, and there are I think six ships to choose from.
If you own SSZ, you get a free 24 hours (thus how I played), and I'm not sure if that's 24 hours from a set time, from the time you start playing, or 24 hours of playtime, but either way, it's worth a try.
