Giant Bomb- Far Cry 4 is one of those open-world games where consequences are few, side tasks are many, and you can mostly just blaze your way through the environment, one headshot at a time. Though the story and some of the various activities can certainly be grim in tone, the game is mostly an easy-going trek through the wilderness.
You'll meet a fresh cast of weirdos along the way, kill some of them, and come out the other end with... well, probably with even more side activities left to complete, if you feel like it. The developers have made a few changes around the edges, but it's all very similar to Far Cry 3. If you liked that game and want more of it... this is more of it.
Far Cry debuted on March 23, 2004, meaning that next week, it will have been 20 years since Jack Carver first washed up on the shore of a tropical paradise teeming with hostile mercenaries.
I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel
India is a culturally rich and beautiful land which is a perfect setting for a video game. Here are some of the best games set in India.
Since the first game was released in 2004, Far Cry has set the standard on fantastic open-world shooters.
I would put 5 above 6 but agree with the other ratings. Though 6 has more refined gameplay compared to 5 it's lack of a compelling story really does hurt it imo but if you are a gameplay fiend and don't really care about story it makes sense.
Can't express enough how cool the intro was! It's hard not to wonder off while playing a mission so far my expectations have been surpassed ;)
Got home and started playing yesterday at 5.00. Before I knew it, it was 9.30 and I thought I'd better stop and eat. An hour later I was back into it and without even realizing it was near 2am.
Hints
Eat before you play, get the elephant skill right away, and watch out for Honey Badgers because they dont give a f#(k.
Cool , good review Jeff Gertzmann .
"you can mostly just blaze your way through the environment, one headshot at a time"
