Leon from DJ Podcasts writes "At its core Meridian: New World is a very traditional RTS, although it has some notable exceptions to that traditional formula. Far from tweaks, it includes the command centre, for you to explore in between missions. As well as the ability to talk with your subordinates. In addition you have a number of abilities you unlock and use in the missions, from the ability to enhance your units, heal them, and even damage the enemy."
J Station X: For the Steam Winter Sale, German games publisher Headup Games has discounted almost every game they publish including In Between and Onikira: Demon Killer.
GG3 writes: "Sometimes, a bundle is a great deal for consumers, but a lesser opportunity for the creators involved. There are some sob stories around from indie developers breaking down the grinding halt a package deal produces. None of that is present for Ede Tarsoly, proprietor of Elder Games and maker of the highly ambitious Merdian: New World."
Meridian: New World feels like a game that has fallen out of early access far too early. The missing features, infuriating bugs, the terrible AI, the poorly functioning systems, all adds to an unfinished game. Tiny details may betray the overall resulting game very early on, but sadly there is nothing here to restore any faith in the game after several hours of playing.
