Hardcore Gamer: The Walking Dead is Stern’s newest table, released in September and slowly filtering into what few places still stock pinball machines. After getting several rounds of play on a brand-new machine today, we're finally able to have a few things to say aside from “looks neat!”
"I got the opportunity to play one of the latest tables in the ZEN Pinball 2 range for PS3 – The Walking Dead Pinball Game. Being a huge fan of the TV show and the comic book series I jumped on the opportunity like a walker hitting a pound of flesh and I had a blast reviewing this game.
ZEN Studios have been releasing a number of tables based on popular pop culture titles in the last couple of months which included Guardians of The Galaxy, Star Wars and Deadpool and they all have one thing in common – loads of flashing lights, awesome sound effects and amazing graphics and they continue with this trend in The Walking Dead. The table is based on the popular Telltale game and features some of the most iconic locations from the game such as the Bell Tower and Traveler Motel. The detail in the graphics is mind-blowing and I particularly loved the walkers popping out from the different hidey holes"
Joseph at Skewed and Reviewed has posted a very positive review for the Walking Dead Pinball. He praised the smart use of the property and how it made it a fun mix of pinball and horror.
Excellent. I want to get this and South Park pinball that also just got released for Pinball FX2. I have a lot of the super hero ones and some of the older Bally pinball machines. This will be great for my collection.
I was happy to hear good things. I have a staffer on the South Park one now. I played a Marvel one years ago and it messed up my hand from all the button pressing which is odd as I have never had an issue with any game that I played. I know some people had injuries from Guitar Hero so I figured I better change my grip and pressure. Regardless, I let other staffers review them and I am glad they liked it.
