Hyrule Warriors will allow users to make use of amiibo functionality once per day to collect useful new items, Nintendo has revealed.
Retailer listings indicate that there'll be a price increase for various Nintendo amiibo that have been announced for 2025.
$40 is absolutely ridiculous. $15 made sense, but you can literally get full on games for $40… what in the hell is going on?
NE: "Today, we're looking at the most and least useful amiibo characters when it comes to Nintendo Switch games."
NE: "Nintendo's beloved lineup of amiibo figures turns 10 years old - we reminisce over its past, present, and future."
From the article:
"Using the Zelda amiibo will unlock a weapon of a 3-star rank or higher; all other amiibo will unlock a low-rank weapon, some rupees, or a material.
A recent update to Nintendo's Japanese website also indicates that the Sheik and Toon Link amiibo will have special functionality in Hyrule Warriors, though what this will be has not yet been confirmed.
Hyrule Warriors receives amiibo compatibility in late November 2014."
That's awesome.
It should be REALLY useful for training up different characters, if activating the other Amiibo's gives you a chance at size-able Rupee rewards.
That's how you do good extra content; make it something you can use across multiple titles, and if possible, multiple times.
I'll really be getting my money's worth out of every one I collect!
I don't know, some of these amiibos "functionalities" seem like ass. I was excited about this but the more I see how they interact, the more I realize they seem like after thoughts. Only Smash has proper interaction with these things.
Kart get Mii costumes? What does that do for you? And now you get a few rupees with most of these figurines but with Zelda themed amiibos you get three star rated swords and stuff?
Bet you get better stuff if you played the game.
I'm not convinced these are must have items, except as collectors items for future sell.
