VRFocus - It's been a while since Virtuix has provided an update on its Omni motion platform for virtual reality (VR) experiences. Back in April 2014 the company confirmed that it had raised some $3 million USD in investments to ship its kit, which works with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), but hasn't made much noise since. That changed today at the 2014 Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) in San Francisco, California, as the company confirmed a new platform as well as updated launch details for the kit.
Take your VR gaming to the next level now that the Virtuix Omni One pre-orders have opened for an eye-watering $2,600.
Once they get the graphics up and this tech. gets into the $800-$1k range, it's over. I am happy that Sony is getting the jump on VR gaming. it's going to be insane.
Morels: Homestead, a relaxing game in which you can create your own unique homestead, is available now for PC VR.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that while F1 23 will support PC VR it will not support PSVR 2 on PlayStation 5.
That's fine. GT7 would overshadow it anyway at it has open wheel and regular cars.
Should have been spending their time updating Squadrons with better resolution, frame rate, haptics, etc as there isn't a game like that on PS VR 2 yet.
But it's EA. They don't think.
A wasted opportunity, but I don't buy EA / Codemasters stuff anyway. Grid Legends just came out on Plus and I haven't touched it. Why would I when I have GT7 and PSVR2?
