The Next Sonic Game Could Be Called Runners

With Sonic Boom not quite on shelves, it might be a little early to talk about where the franchise is going next. Even so, a possible SEGA leaker may have just shone a light on where the road may take the Blue Blur.

Please let it be a traditional Sonic game on consoles with at least Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow playable with Sonic

-Foxtrot1527d ago

Your asking for too much....remember this is SEGA :)

Don't see how its so hard to create a good Sonic game...I mean the new one looks awful, just been made to go alongside the crappy cartoon.

They should base a game around the UK Sonic comics

Abash1527d ago

As off-putting as Sonic Boom is to me, it gives me hope that main Sonic games will have the most popular friend characters playable again. Thats something the developers got right, I mean Tails and Knuckles with their abilities alone can add so much more substance to standard Sonic gameplay

Klonoa-dreamtraveler1527d ago

everything has to be based off uk from you.

-Foxtrot1527d ago

Why not? The US is so over done these days.

Klonoa-dreamtraveler1527d ago (Edited 1527d ago )

its just on every franchise so far i see you mention uk and its like there isn't a reason why for the franchise other than making uk relevant for just cause. i do agree sonic formula has to be fixed big time and is far off from what it was of its former self i just dont see how it being done or it being heavily involved uk is gonna help it.

edit: well i welcome any person or team from any region to do a sonic game to be done right or atleast towards the right direction i just felt by your comment history everything has to be uk relevant versus as a whole the right thing being relevant but im not against it being done or tried by a different region or team. its just it felt you were being region bias and thats how it came off to me. im not trying to be bogus or anything.

You havent read the UK Sonic comics have you? They are very different to the US series.

It has a cool origin story for Sonic

It showed you how he became Sonic we know thanks to Doctor Ovi Kintobor

After this though things went wrong and Doctor Ovi Kintobor turned into Ivo Robotnik

Plus you had the Freedom fighters aswell

Which would be a cool, character switching concept.

Even characters like Amy were better written. Instead of Amy being the typical damsel in distress she ended up holding her own and stopped acting like a bimbo

I agree, and put the designs back to normal as well, these ones are very ugly.

lemoncake1527d ago

I would also prefer them to just give us what we all want instead of overthinking it and trying to do something different.

DrRobotnik1527d ago

When Yuji Naka cashed did we.

ChickeyCantor1526d ago

" and Shadow"

It's like you want all of it to go away but leave the gate open for everyone to return.

Sounds like a mobile game

Sly-Lupin1526d ago

IMHO, Sonic fits better as a mobile game than a console game. What's the mobile genre called? "Runner" or something? Where all you have to do is tap the screen to jump? That seems like just about the only place for Sonic to go and still be even remotely relevant.

ZombieKiller1527d ago (Edited 1527d ago )

As longs as it's not Sonic: The Runs.

Then again if it turns out to be a crappy game....

DrRobotnik1527d ago (Edited 1527d ago )

Sonic had the runs? Needs to lay off those chilly dogs.

Illusive_Man1527d ago

It needs to be called Sonic Generations 2....but I'll take a Colors 2.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory1527d ago

Sonic Colors 2 is practically Lost World

DivineHand1251527d ago

I thought Sonic Generations was a really good game and I still play it from time to time. Why can't they just make more games like that.

DrRobotnik1527d ago

Because Sega hates to continue good games. Remember Nights 2, Shemue 3, comic zone 2, sonic CD 2?.....yep.
