This article takes a look at the 11 reasons why Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has managed to save the once-great series. Advanced Warfare represents a beacon of hope for all COD fans.
I wouldn't say saved........when you sort out the lag and respawns then maybe yeah
I'm personally already over this game...Going to return it tomorrow. It was awesome for like 1-2 days and then the "newness" of it wore off and I now see it for what it really is. It's actually slightly less skill based than before, but not only that, it's just not that fun after like 3-4 days of playing. I'm glad they switched it up, but I think they went a bit too far in the direction they chose. * I'd kind of just like WaW2 or a COD4:MW1 type of game.
It's a great game but I don't know where the series could go after it. An advanced warfare 2 is all I can think of so far. they used up multiple settings already so I'll just wait and see what else comes up. the next game could surprise the hell out of me. (prehistoric-warfare!) but instead of saving, it could be the game that killed the series!
The highest selling series on the planet which sells EVERY year (instead of every 5 like GTA) needs saving? A man thinks not. This isn't a good thing. We need more diversity and as long as COD remains on top by this margin (if it just sold 10m every year this wouldn't be a problem) everyone will copy and many titles will suffer it sucking up all the sales every year.
I actually like this cod and I am impressed with it.
Too much lag, terrible spawns = Activision cares more about marketing then reliability. Clearly they do very little QA for these releases because year after year the launch product is fill of bugs. Any level of testing would uncover spawn issues, not to mention this is like the 9th or 10th COD. How many more until they figure that out. The game could be decent but I'm selling mine back because the online lag is too much for me and makes the game unfair most of the time
Campaign is good, still working on it, havent tried co-op but the multiplayer is a total campfest. Most of the players are sitting on rooftops just picking people off. I cant play like that since its so boring. Try to run around and use the exoskeleton to move quickly through the map but i get picked off after getting a shotgun kill or two. Titanfall didnt have this bad of camping in the beta. I don't know what they did but most of the players were running around or in titans, very few campers. Lag, spawn kills and the op system hack are also hurting the game. Hopefully the devs can fix these problems and make mp much more enjoyable.
I wouldn't have said "saved" but with this game and once the multiplayer is patched a few times, I can say that CoD has New life, but I'm sure it will continue it's downward trend. And I've been playing CoD since 2008. I like Adavnced Warfare a lot, but I personally want Treyarch to make a World at War 2 haha :)
As long as nothing is done to end prolonged periods of camping (perks, weapons, upgrades) and eliminating the completely unrealistic quick-scope sniper glitch COD will never be what it was with Black Ops and every game preceding it.
