Aonuma: Majora's Mask 3D in development since Ocarina of Time 3D launch

Nintendo Insider writes:

After The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, fans from around the world have been shouting loud and clear their hope that Nintendo would treat Majora’s Mask to its own remake.

That wish was granted in this week’s Nintendo Direct, with The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D preparing to launch in Spring 2015. However, while campaigns such as Operation Moonfall have been actively voicing their interest, series producer Eiji Aonuma has revealed that they actually began developing it “almost immediately” after Ocarina of Time 3D – he just couldn’t tell anyone!

dont care it isnt an actualy remake for wiiu i'll stick to my gamecube one

Just because it's not for Wii U doesn't mean it won't be a worthwhile remake.
Don't judge harshly until we know what it does and doesn't do differently.

Having said that....

I guess this means that we can't ever really know what Nintendo is or isn't making.
I mean, if they kept this under their hat for so long, then who knows what else they're hiding?

Might even be a new F-Zero in the works at this very moment, for all we know...

After you said Gamecube, I think I know why this "remake" has been in development for quite some time. Majora's Mask had glitches and bugs that made the game less fun to play, so maybe they are working on a way to emulate the game better on the 3DS at least.

That long to port a n64 game in 3d huh? oot 3d mustve took much longer since ALL of it was remade
