A quick over view of the new DLC for the car game The Crew
A DLC before the game release? Ubisoft innovating...
This is the part of gaming nowadays that disturbs me. Instead of including all that content in the release of the game, they purposely break up the content into DLC packs. In the end, you pay over $100 for the game if you want the total experience. Everyone has a season pass now. It's a ripoff. Kinda like with Destiny. I love Destiny. Put in over 100 hours into it. But word is, the original game was going to be a lot bigger. Activision steps in and says, no. Break it up into DLC packs. $35 extra bucks. Now, they're already working on part 2, only 2 months after release.
Yep, it's a really sad state of affairs right now, and for every developer who does DLC right, there are 10 others who are sickeningly greedy and pretty much ruining your whole purchase.... That said, from what I've gathered from the feedback about The Crew on several fora I visit, they thought the BETA was complete crap anyway and they won't purchase it, so Ubisoft announcing DLC-milking pre-release could be the final blow to this game before it even launches. Who buys Ubisoft games on Day 1 anymore anyway? It's already a given they'll just nickel-and-dime you. Vote with your wallet.
Of course it is...
I think I'm done with Ubisoft, they pulled Far Cry 4, Assassins Creed Unity and The Crew from Steam and they are trying to force Uplay on people. I was looking to buy 2 out of 3 of those games but I don't like being forced to use Uplay so I can pass on these no problem, there are plenty of other cool games coming out, hell GTAV released on the same day as FC4.
Lol game isn't even out
The crew is shite!, played the beta..
Thanks for all the replies guys i will be posting more articles here so stay tuned
