This is a few days old but worth watching if you like GTA.

First person mode is going to be amazing, it almost makes it another genre of game. R* smashing it out the park again.

Had to wait in line to get my copy of GTA V for PS3 like I had done for almost all titles before it so of course as soon as I heard the new-gen versions had first person view I pre-ordered it for PS4 immediately. Like you said, it's going to make it a whole new game entirely playing in FP, the updated graphics are a plus but I'm definitely most excited for first person and don't mind throwing down another $60 for a game well deserving of more money. I can only imagine how awesome it would be remastering Red Dead Redemption and adding first person or other amazing 3rd person games.

I love when the link says "Read Full Review" and there is no review to read.

Snookies123821d ago

You and me both, my good sir. GTA V on PS4/X1/PC looks amazing... Can't wait to revisit this awesome game in all its new found glory.

ovnipc3821d ago

Me too I'm buying it day one but on xbox one,i want it,for ps4,but,most of my friends are on x1.

medman3821d ago

If your really want it for ps4, time to make some new friends.

Eidolon3821d ago (Edited 3821d ago )

Getting it on release day. Actually playing it for the first time.

rivencleft3821d ago

I debated last year whether or not to buy it on release day for PS3 knowing that at some point they'd bring it to PS4 but I'm glad to made the decision to buy it then and I have it preordered again now for PS4, it's an awesome game, and the new optional first person view mode is the game changer that truly sold it for me.

RegalRocks3821d ago

You are in for a wonderful surprise my friend. In my opinion its honestly one of the best games ever. If you are getting it on PS4 add me: RegalRocks

MRMagoo1233821d ago

Yup me as well, I had it on ps3 and have the PS4 version paid off ready to go on release day, can not wait.

ArchangelMike3821d ago (Edited 3821d ago )

As much as I ranted against it... I know I'll be buying it again. This first person mode was... unexpected :))

nucky643821d ago (Edited 3821d ago )

yea, first-person mode made this a must-have for me. I wasn't going to get it but I am now...first-person makes it a different game and I can't wait to play through the campaign again.

edit: and it sure don't hurt that they're throwing in some new, quality tunes like stuff from pat benatar!

This is not a review, it's a preview.

DukeOfStilwater3821d ago

I'm surprised none of the "master race" have come here to bash the PS4 version, honestly. lol I for one am looking forward to the game, regardless, even with 30fps, which is better than the PS3's 17 - 26 fps with 30fps at NIGHT ONLY.

My problem with the game is they want to install a Kernel level driver before I can even boot the game in sngle player mode I don't care about GTA online

I flat out refuse to allow any game kernal level it's a huge risk I don't need to take

It's not the only game that has done this. Ut it's absolutely shutting the dorr completely on PC gaming for me kernal level drivers are ineffective at preventing cheaters but publishers insist on continued use

Pyrofire9542d ago

My big issue is how long it takes to transition between open world and interiors in Online.
Sometimes it can take over a minute of just starring at a black screen.

Let it sleep already R*. VI is coming and this game has had 12 years in the spotlight.

It looks great, got everything running on ultra, have long shadows set to max and it's running silky smooth.

The ray tracing and lighting makes the game look amazing.

CrimsonIdol46d ago

The reflections are a noisy mess, particularly with DLSS. Shame they didn't have ray reconstruction, seems to work wonders for cyberpunk

MrDead46d ago

The reflections are like a mirror, I have no noise at all. Are you sure you have it set correctly?

CrimsonIdol46d ago

I've everything maxed out. the reflections DO have a lot of noise in them in motion. When you stop for a second to look at them they look okay but when you're driving around there's a definite blur and sparkle to them that you often get from RT. Again, exactly the same as you get in Cyberpunk without ray reconstruction but is much reduced with.

MrDead45d ago

I really don't have that, what you see here is what I have in motion even online vids have it completely clear. I'm running of a 5090 with everything set to the highest.

CrimsonIdol45d ago

Ah I see. Well if you have a 5090 then I'm guessing are you're probably getting quite a high frame rate (I'm guessing hitting that 120 fps max), which will make a difference too, since the RT samples in the reflections accumulate temporally. I'm on a 3080 so I'm keeping my frame rate around 60-75 at 4K, and the low sample/high noise of the RT is definitely apparent… particularly on moving cars at night time I've noticed the most (makes sense given highest contrast between light and dark) DLSS amplifies the noise too, it's the big thing that sticks out as low fidelity when the rest resolves nicely

CrimsonIdol44d ago (Edited 44d ago )

Just had a chance to watch this on my 4K monitor now. Do you not see the blurriness of the reflections in relation to everything else in motion? Like it's definitely better and less noisy than it is for me at 60fps with quality DLSS but it's still pretty bad compared to how crisp the screen space/cubemap ones were when driving about. fine when you stop for a second but driving around you're rarely stopped so it's near constant muddy reflections.
