Gameranx: "Apparently Advanced Warfare isn't so hot on Steam."
I wonder if this could be the beginning of the end of COD's grip on gaming.
i hope so, not because i don't like the game. but because it's the only way to froce actishit to develop a brand new graphic engine. i mean AW is really a great game, but damn, IT'S THE SAME SINCE 2008!! same bugs, same glitch, everything is the fu**ing same!
if you have a specific type of game that gets lots of sequel of course its going to be the same, What do you expect? the core game of any sequel is usually exactly the same as its previous title
Also, I understand they went back to no dedicated servers on PC again. So, they just never learn. I personally wouldn't buy it also, until they learn to stop charging for pvp map packs and splitting up and fragmenting the community. Learn from old PC Shooters and newer games catching on like Killzone:Shadowfall and PvZ:Garden Warfare. Only charge for the cosmetic stuff and other campaign add-on stuff, which they clearly have enough revenue avenues for already.
And this is why you only have one bubble, because of the non-sense you speak lol!!!!
Article is wrong and bs, it's not in top ten because it has a bug on all stores except American store. It's not listed at all in the steam store except if you search or click the banner. I mean the season pass is in top 20,but the game isn't? Yeah makes sense *not*
I saw on Reddit that they had over 85,000 users on day one for PC and has over 100k users on the leaderboards.
u wot m8? http://puu.sh/cFGCP/6052883... This article is blatantly lying.
its been the top seller for days, what do you mean not so popular??
Was CoD ever popular on PC? I know consoles? Serious question
It's consistently near the top of the Steam stats.
Interesting... Never knew that... Thought it wouldn't be as popular on PC
Call of Duty's main fan base is on consoles, has been so for years now. I've bought many CoD games on PC in the past, but after a few months, the servers feel like a ghost town. On the other hand, both on PS3 and Xbox 360, games like MW2 still had a healthy and active MP despite the release of Black Ops or MW3. Some games have a much longer lifespan on PC, WoW is going in its 10th year, LoL and DotA2 are very popular years after their release, ArmA3 has a great community, etc. But Call of Duty simply isn't one of these series and hasn't been so since CoD4 I'd say. It's still a big seller, even on PC, but its numbers are dwarfed when compared to the ones it gets on consoles.
