The initial idea was to make “Dying Light” part of the “Dead Island” series, but Techland (Developer) decided that they had more than enough uniqueness to establish it as a separate game. Apart from their disagreements with Deep Silver (publisher) in terms of business, they also disagreed upon the vision “Dead Island” was based on. Now fans can look out for something a little more exciting, IWBAG hopes.
Starting today, Dying Light Enhanced Edition and Shapez are free at Epic Games Store. Once you claim them, they're yours to keep.
Get ready to enter the post-apocalyptic world of Dying Light, where you’ll need your wits and survival skills to stay alive.
We might be in the age of remasters, but it doesn't look like the Dead Island 2 devs believe remaking the original game is the right move for the series.
but remakes require far less effort for these companies and they can still charge $70 for them!
Feel like everyone makes fun of Skyrim re-releasing like 18 times yet applaud these remasters elsewhere. Would much prefer NEW games
Making sequels really is the way to go. Otherwise we'll be stuck playing only the first entry, forever!!!
Dying Light looks WAY BETTER then Dead Island 2, I'm glad Techland did there own thing.
Deep Silver's vision of Dead Island 2 is more of a Dead Rising game in first person with perks, no thanks.
"Unfortunately they are only retarded during the day."
I don't believe it... Someone actually used the word retarded correctly...
WELL DONE SIR! You get an entire box of Kudos.
OT: I am very excited for this game for the coop. My friend and I really enjoyed the original Dead Island, for what it was, and couldn't be more ready for more coop on our current gen systems. We're getting towards the end of our time with Diablo 3, so come on January! Well... tail end of January!
