During its Nintendo Direct that took place earlier today, Nintendo announced Duck Hunt for the Wii U Virtual Console.
YES! Everything is now right in the house of Nintendo! I want that Dog to be even a bigger jerk than the original.
It's not an HD remake it's just a release on the virtual machine of Wii U. Although, in this case, I share your enthusiasm for it to be a Remake type release and not just another old game coming to a new console. I never had high hopes for big new announce at today's Direct, I still came away feeling like there was a lot of fluff and not much meat. Come on Nintendo, you’ve got to do more. Give us some major remake/spin-off/HD remastering or something.
The article says: "The game is no mere port, though, as it will be upgraded.." This makes me think they are going to add some new stuff to the game, whether it's features or modes...who knows but I mean this is Dunk Hunt. This and Gyromite were my first NES video game experience.
My apologies. It does say that in the article. Not sure it's more than a control port, but I will watch also.
I loved playing Duck Hunt growing up. It was the first game I got..well the Super Mario Bros./DuckHunt combo game for NES. I would love to play this again or an updated version....either way, it's a solid game.
I also had the original NES that came with ROB, so my combo was Duck Hunt and Gyromite. Those were some good 'ol days of gaming I tell ya.
This is cool, but where are the current gen games? Releasing all these classics would go over a lot better with me if there were more current games.
Because, Captian Toad, Hyrule Warriors, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Kart, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 1&2, Splatoon, Smash Bros, Yoshi Wholly World, Kirby, SMT X Fire Emblem, and whatever others I may have forgotten. Aren't enough...get over yourself, they've needed to work on their VC library and now they are adding a new game...ONE new game. Try harder
Lol. The sad thing is, you just named almost all the games in the Wii U library. Just joking. But c'mon dude, don't act like there's a lot of games for the Wii U, because there aren't. Most of the stuff you named isn't even out yet. I'm saying, I bought this system 2 years ago, and I still can't justify this purchase with how few games there are. But they have no problems releasing classics.
@Jughead - Mario Kart 8, Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101 are a few quick games off the top of my head that are definitely worth your money if you don't own any of them for your Wii U.
I shot that dog with a lot digital bullet with a plastic gun
Hope it's compliant with my Wii Zapper & pistol attachment...fun times ahead!! 😃
if you ever wanted to know what is going on behind the scenes XD http://www.youtube.com/watc...
maybe this mean hogans alley and wild gunman will come soon wii u vc. Lots of shooting fun.
