Bethesda realizes game performance should not be artificially limited

MWEB GameZone writes: "Limiting the PC community to 30 FPS, or in any artificial way for that matter, is never a good thing.

Thankfully, Bethesda has come to realise this with The Evil Within, as the latest patch for the PC version unlocked 60 FPS and gives PC gamers more screen real estate to work with."

The story is too old to be commented.

Nicely done Bethesda! Ubisoft take note ;)

Agreed, hopefully all developers, including Ubisoft will learn from this and not limit PC gamers, or even a more powerful console

Its all the consoles fault /end sarcasm. I agree that if a pc can run the game at 100+ fps or whatever magical number you look for then it should be allowed to run at that, locking fps to a certain rate just so that your job is easier for console version is not cool.

Definately, there should be no limit just to make life easier for developers, people spend a ton of cash on a gaming rig and should be able to play a game on 60+ fps if they want too

Off topic. Has anyone signed on to the youtube app on ps4?

It keeps saying service is not available or some tcp error.

Just me or a common problem. Thanks.

Sillicur1450d ago

Not me and yeh off topic, but I think just give it some time, the PS4 patch is new, probably just teething issues.

Dannycr1450d ago

I did yesterday morning. It took me like 4 or 5 tries but I'm signed in now.

Ah good to know, so it just takes some time. Lets get back on topic, what do you think about games being artificially limited?

stalepie1450d ago (Edited 1450d ago )

try this:

"1.Go to:

2.Check if PSN is one of the registered devices.

3.Revoke access to PSN.

4.Attempt to sign in again.

I had been having problems logging in to the YT app since it came out, noticed someone suggested this on one of the PS forums, and it worked! Thought I'd share just in case it works for anyone else!

[EDIT: I have a feeling that the problem is caused by linking your accounts outside of the actual YouTube app, if anyone else has any further trouble, try re-doing the steps above, and then linking your account through the sign-in inside the app itself. Glad I could help!]"

Like putting a limiter in a car :(
