Captain Toad's backpack may weigh a ton, but his upcoming title won't. The Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker download size clocks in at approximately 2 GB.
That's bigger than 3D World by 400 meg. Maybe the extra graphical flourishes added to its size.
Was 3D World seriously that small?!? That's incredible. It was such a large game, too. That's something I'll probably go back to throughout my lifetime. I still play it.
Nintendo has a space-age compression technology...it's incredible.
Nintendo is very good at storage sizes for their games. So the file sizes don't have a lot to do with how big their games rely are.Unlike what seems like every other developer.
well... most of the game isn't textured, that saves space I guess
Compared to Knack which is 36gb!
Can't wait for this game. Loved these stages in SM3DWorld.
Ignore these fools claiming that Nintendo are good at compressing their data and working efficiently... THEY CHEAT! Nintendo don't compress their games, they make them really tiny in the first place. Then, when you launch the game it's patched with a Red Mushroom, which instantly causes the game to grow into a full-sized one.
This game is the cutest thing ever. I am glad this game is making those old haters of toads change there mind about the Mario species. They are so cute. The only reason the hate began for them was because Toad kept telling the player the princess was in another castle.
Wii U article! Gotta be some Nintendo fans here. I ordered a Wii U today. What games are really worth getting for the family, and what were the real highlights on the old Wii? On-topic er... erm.... oh that's I nice amount of data.
For Wii U: - LEGO City: Undercover - Wonderful 101 - Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - ZombiU - Pikmin 3 (Not my thing, but most people love it.) - Mario Kart 8 (Obviously) - Super Mario 3D World - Windwaker HD - Wii Fit U (If you're into fitness. Excellent fitness game.) There are tons of GBA and SNES games to buy, as well. I highly recommend Mario Tennis: Power Tour on GBA. Probably the best in the series. Also, Earthbound. It's $10 and it's freaking Earthbound! Wii games: - Wario Ware: Smooth Moves - Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort - Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 - Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Xenoblade Chronicles - Kirby's Epic Yarn - Mario Party 8 or 9 (9 can be pricey) - The Last Story - Animal Crossing: City Folk - New Super Mario Bros. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
Skyward swords worth a blast and definately one of the Galaxy games, I preferred 1 myself but both fantastic games. Smash bros of course ;)
Helpful vote, I will definitely check some of those out.
I would add Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, RE4 Wii Edition and Donkey Kong Country Returns to the Wii list.
I might add (sorry if some will be the same as other post) Nano assault Neo (eShop) Bayonetta & Bayonetta 2 Nintendo Land Deus Ex: human revolution DC (best version if you didnt play) Wonderful 101 ( this one just get it, dont play demo, game is much more better) Wii Games: Kirby's epic yarn Bully: scholarship edition The last story Metroid Prime: trilogy Wario land: shake it (and Warioware of course) Boom blox 1 & 2 ahhh.. what am I doing... just check my website for best Wii games... :) http://ultimateconsole.comy...
It's not the size that matters, it's what they do with it.
