Nintendo and Playboy Join Forces to Promote Bayonetta 2

Chris Mawson writes: "In one of the more unusual popular culture cross-promotions in recent memory, family-friendly gaming giant Nintendo has combined forces with Playboy to promote hack-and-slash title Bayonetta 2, which was released exclusively for the Wii U on Friday (October 24)."

Nintendo and Playboy in the same sentence, call me shocked :b

Anyway, the model needs longer legs, as well as most of the women who try to portray Bayonetta. Nonetheless, is still good.

Big_Game_Hunters3254d ago

Yeah its cool for sure, but the Model Doesn't look like Bayonetta ;/

Justindark3253d ago

it looks better bayonetta legs are too long and thin compared to her ass size exp in that pic.

SilentNegotiator3253d ago (Edited 3253d ago )

And you replied with this comment why? Metallox sure didn't say anything about Sony.

solidjun53253d ago (Edited 3253d ago )

huh? A bit off-topic there. Not surprised coming from you you would say this.

Bimkoblerutso3254d ago

I don't actually get it. What is this, the 80's? Who the hell is going to go out and buy a Playboy mag or pay a subscription fee to see a decent cosplay of Bayonetta?

Why not choose an advertising partner that is still relevant?

HammadTheBeast3253d ago

I wish she had longer hair too. Game is fantastic.

pasta_spice3253d ago

Bayonetta's long spider legs are impossible in real life. But kudos to this lady for trying!

FriedGoat3253d ago (Edited 3253d ago )

Classic 'behind with the times' Nintendo. Would have made sense 10 years ago when playboy was relevant.

Ck1x3253d ago

You saying this just proves how much you know! Your next comment will be that the porn industry doesn't exist...

FriedGoat3252d ago

What? Of course it exists, it's just if people want porn they don't got to playboy anymore.

Kennytaur3253d ago (Edited 3253d ago )

Bayonetta is unrealisticly proportioned though.

Edit: But come to think of it, it would be possible to get close using clever camera manipulation.

Spenok3253d ago

Yeah definitely an odd thing to think about, and actually see. You're also right about the legs. I wonder if they could have also gone with a model that looks more like her too. Oh well I guess.

You CANNOT call Nintendo "kiddie" anymore.

firelogic3254d ago

lol. The exception doesn't make a rule.

If they actually wanted to partner with Playboy, why didn't they go all the way with a full nude pictorial? Having a playmate cosplay as Bayonetta isn't edgy. It's quite pointless.

Concertoine3254d ago (Edited 3254d ago )

So you would define nintendo as "kiddy"?
The character is never fully nude in the game, THAT would be kind of pointless.

Let me just say i transcended any superficial judgements i had on nintendos games through many hours of adversity. Namely:

Big_Game_Hunters3254d ago (Edited 3254d ago )

Yes id does,get over it.
Nintendo never was "Kiddy to begin with"

KonsoruMasuta3254d ago

Platinum isn't the one paying to advertise it.

In fact, when Kamiya was asked if Bayonetta was going to get decent advertiments, his response was "Ask Ninty".

Concertoine3254d ago

Lol, like platinum is advertising the game.

It still stands that if Nintendo had a problem with it, they wouldve pulled it and this would be a totally different article.

Spotie3253d ago

Right, because Nintendo was gonna fund this almost-canned game and then not market it to try and make a return...

torchic3253d ago

LOL NO Nintendo is still very much kiddie

btw there's nothing wrong with being a kiddie console.

Alinea3253d ago

nintendo was never kiddie if you knew its padt before video games.

N4g_null3254d ago

Nintendo has been making kiddies every since wii sports at the bar. Seriously only kids think nintendo is kiddy. Great move though. The model has to be 6'10" to look like Bayonetta.

Angerfist3254d ago

Next thing they do is a Mario FPS sponsored by Soldier of Fortune
and Peachs Paradise sponsored by Hustler.
