Agreed. I would like to see more developers aim to create finished products. I want more QA before release and I don't want to have to go online for stuff that should be in the main game. I am worried that there will be no legacy support for our games in the future and that a lot of the games today will simply be unplayable.

@Eonjay when your talking about a 5gb patch for a 5gb game there is no way this is a offline machine for this game . they've taken backward ccompatibility from us and sold it back to us , next they take the ability to conintue using the old console away from us . working copyies only playable on their service .

They said 15 hours for the main story, it's close to 50 for all the side stuff.

I don't agree with the patch, but there is no reason to flip out over it just yet.

Sniper Elite 3 had a 10gb patch on the X1, which replaced some of the base install. So it might not eat any or much more HDD space.

Dead Rising 3 had a 13gb patch.

So this, the relatively small development team, no known track record, and early videos.. All point to a dissapointing game.

I'm still likely to buy it and trade it in once I'm done playing like usual. I'm known to play all hack/slash games anyway.

Just for your information, it is a loophole in the system, because game developers have to pay for the data people download. So it is a standard procedure, a 5 gig game with a 5 gig patch and everything above this is downloaded from whithin the game itself, from the Developers servers. I recently downloaded digital versions of Wolfenstein, BF4 premium, and Shadow of mordor , and all of them followed this scheme.

The games are all right, they dont need patch, it is a workaround to lower developer fees.

luckily PS4 have play while download feature so i can go right to the story mode while the rest of game will be download at background

There are some people steaming it. From what I saw it is hard and not as punishing as demon's souls...
In my humble opinion, it looks very fun.

Why must all fantasy rpg's have the same story. Fight against the evil that will destroy the world, and on the way to the final boss you have to kill his mini-bosses, you are the choosen one, etc. It's a game, there's an endless possibility what you can create.

For me better is when we must download 5GB patch before first run the game that in the game have a lot of shortcomings. Lords of the Fallen is not a first game with something like that, for example in wolfenstein the new order we must download patch too.

One trend that's been bothering me this new gen are devs releasing patches that are astronomical in size within a week the game is released released. Going to run out of hard drive space within 2 years if this continues.

Im have been playing the ps4 version and i dont recomend this game!Lots of screen tearing and very bad framerate,it dips very often bellow 30fps.Patch included!

It's better now, probably release a patch, rather than later collect thrashing, like something is wrong. I did not think 5GB is such a staggering size, in these times. Convinced me to play, and my money too.

I'm happy there, better now than after hours of playing where it would clearly something wrong. If the package is so large, and rather little time lapsing of certification at sony, surely this is not probably a big improvement but 5GB package .. impressive
