USA Pre-Order Chart Ending 18th October (Big Update in Numbers)

The list has seen a tremendous update in preorders. Certain games do not have the same numbers you remember. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Super Smash Bros, Halo Master Chief Collection, and Assassin's Creed Unity got extremely big boosts in numbers. The Order 1886 got a huge amount removed from its original number.

They must update earlier postings because Halo had 70k and 80k on the last two updates now both skyrocketed to 200+k. Same goes for a lot of these games

It's pretty much guess and check for software with VGC. If you think their Hardware numbers are iffy, their software is even worse.

VGchartz uses information from a few stores to extrapolate an estimate. Their numbers should always be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Disagrees? Fact is I have been checking these every few days and their numbers for Oct 4 and 11 were changed. Halo was not over 100k on their past two updates yet now they are and same goes for a lot of the titles.

Perhaps they are also counting preloaded because I know quite a few people who preloaded halo in the last couple weeks.

Its amazing that a single Xbox one game is ablvr any ps4 game let alone 2 of them

Funny how many complaints there are about this list. If 2 Xbox titles weren't at the top there would be no question and probably much celebration but the other way around and its impossible.

Remember for a moment all call of duty advertising is for Xbox and it has first access content. Might not mean much to you and me but it must to plenty of people otherwise Microsoft wouldn't foot thr advertising bill that grants them that first access. Also remember like it or not halo is a massively selling franchise and this collection is without question the best value ever seen.

Yeah I pre downloaded cod on xb1. Its a game I know im going to keep. I pre ordered a hard copy of halo...it just seemed wrong to not have a halo disc and game case lol.

I agree that COD(Xbox One) is above PS4 version(US). The numbers though are more than likely way off. VGC pre-order numbers tend to be quite a bit more inaccurate than their sales numbers.

Actually, I think this is just what Sony needs is some better competition. This should put pressure on Sony to increase their support for PS4 and improve support on Vita. This holiday season will be fun and so will 2015!

Ubisoft have repeatedly explained why the game is 900p on PS4. It's blind and extreme fanboys like yourself who want to still believe that Ubi forced parity due to MS or X1.

And not every gamer has your sense of patriotism towards Sony and are actually excited for AC and don't care if the game is in 900p. As long as it looks good, plays good, has great content promised and the servers are running.

It's only logical for people to say that it's true if VG chartz says that the PS4 is beating the xb1 in software ,well that's because it sold more consoles ......

Not totally accurate. There are certain games that sold better on PS3 than on X360 in the USA last generation even with a huge advantage that the X360 was enjoying over the PS3 in America. Titles like Metal Gear Rising and Final Fantasy sold more on PS3 because it fits the fanbase and demographic of that console better.

Even with a lesser user base, maybe XB1 players love FPS shooter better than the PS4 counterpart; thus, more people are preordering those games than any other games on the list. Is that hard to believe? In the recent NPD, the Xbox physical copy of Destiny was surprisingly the best selling copy on the NPD report (even though I am sure more PS4 copies are sold due to the white bundle and digital sale) but that is still kind of a shocker on physical copies alone on a console with way less user base ATM.

If those Bayonetta 2 numbers are correct, this game is going to sell far better than people expected.

80K+ for the USA alone, along with Europe, Amazon, and eShop numbers... we could be looking at 200K+ Opening week for Bayonetta 2.

Yea I hope so ... I would hate to see Bayonetta struggle to sell like The Wonderful 101 did. It's a damn shame when gamers allow games of this quality to sell this badly while trash overhyped games sell millions upon millions in a day.

Well just to give a comparison. The Wonderful 101 didn't even chart in the pre-orders list.

The game sold around 15,000 copies in week one for North America.

In Europe, Bayonetta 2's first print run sold 15,000 copies before the game was even released..... so yeah. Bayonetta 2 is a sure bet to sell far better than The Wonderful 101.

And even though everyone was bashing The Japanese sales of Bayonetta 2. It still sold 7x more than The Wonderful 101, and has already passed up the lifetime sales of the Wonderful 101 in Japan...

So Bayonetta 2 is going to do better. Having the Nintendo themed costumes, free Bayonetta 1, and the amazing review scores should easily put it above The Wonderful 101 which had lower review scores, no Nintendo cameos, and SUPER LOW pre-order numbers.

No sony fan thinks that VGChartz is right. They consistently over track Xbone and undertrack PS4.

So naturally when PS4 is in front people know that PS4 is really leading probably by even more than stated.

When xbone is in front people question if it is correct. No body here thinks VGChartz numbers are correct because they have proved to be biased towards Xbone.

The proof is when they had Xbone winning March. And again when they had Xbone winning April. Over tracking it BY A WHOLE 100,000 UNITS.

It looks like the gamers that prefer FPS are mostly on X1, since ps4 has sold around 2x more Consoles than X1, so for X1 to have sold more content is pretty telling of the culture on each system.

With the whole resolution debacle on AC for Ps4, I am surprised it cracked the top 5!

The point is Sunset Overdrive is the poster child of Xbox One this holiday season and Microsoft is pushing it aggressively. Even when you include other countries only less than 2% of Xbox One owners have the game pre-ordered. I thought this was a interesting statistic. Who cares about LBP, I haven't even seen a single advertisement for it.

One of close friends is awaiting Halo MCC to upgrade to X1 as I think a lot of people are aswell. I wont miss any of X1 exclusives due to being limited to one console, its always good to have mates people.

Yeah even COD Ghosts sold more and that was when the install bases were more or less even. There's no reason to think that double the install base will make things any prettier for Xbone. Even in the US the PS4 has built up a 1m install base lead. Remember these numbers are just US in Europe it will be a bloodbath like any other game.

if it could just go down to like 5m sales a year (or God forbid NOT release every year) and give some of those 15m sales left over to more deserving games that end up not making profit because COD gobbles up all the mindshare and sales that would be good enough for a man. I think Sunset Overdrive will be fine number wise. It will continue to pick up steam heading further into the holiday season. Personally, the reason I did not preorder it now is because of a limited budget. I just picked up Forza Horizon 2 (which is absolutely awesome), and the next purchase is going to be Halo MCC. You also have Far Cry 4 right around the corner. Other people might be doing the same, being selective at the moment since there is so many awesome games coming out close together.

Wow! I have a great source for sales and pre order numbers and my source tells me cod aw on X1 is at 210k so close enough for VG lol. Halo MCC is 135k . And ACU for the ps4 85k with a big loss in orders. Funny my source says the order 1886 has 163k with no mention of any loss of pre orders but then I didn't even think to ask with the release so far away but I will after seeing what the experts at VGCharts had to say errrr make up\ pretend.

If me and my buds here in Greece all purchase only digital on our Xbox Ones I can only imagine how much higher those numbers are in the US including digital for games like CoD and ofc MCC.

GJ. Digital was always convinient. There should really be charts soon for digital sales cause retail mean nothing. Most adult games on steam and consoles use digital now.
