Trophies haven't always been around. Gamers that have owned a PlayStation 3 for a while might remember a time that trophies didn't exist. That’s an awful clickbait title. The use of the word ‘as’ means the first statement is the result of the second, when in reality they’re not connected.
Also the same for red dead redemption 2 and GTA trilogy (albeit they split that into individual games)

GTA V is the pass-around sub title, and it probably doesn't even matter because everyone owns a copy or even two by now.
