GamesRadar: Will the Next Call of Duty Suck?

As you probably already know, Call of Duty: World at War is due out this fall for 360, PS3, PC and Wii. Activision has turned to good ol' reliable Treyarch to develop World at War, while series creators Infinity Ward are hard at work on the next ordinal chapter, Call of Duty 5, for sometime in the distant future.

More Duty should be a good thing, right? But fans are worried that with Treyarch helming the Pacific-themed WWII shooter, CoD: World at War will throw the series into a tailspin. Before gamers get too hysterical, let's review these statistics from Metacritic.

activision said they want to go to war with all the other wwII games coming out. now thats a bold statement to make if you know or even think you wont have the best wwII game. so i think their pretty confident on how good their game is going to be. activision is the king of war games in my OPINION, and i can speak for some other people when i say that. is it going to suck? i highly doubt it.

I can't believe they are making another WWII version. WWII got old after Call of Duty 2, 3, Big Red One, and the thousand other versions they released! There are to many WWII games on the market and they all have the same feel. If you played one you've played them all. All these other gaming companies are copying Activision, so why would Activison start following and stop leading after releasing a smash hit like Modern Warfare! Who ever gave the designer funding/permission/publishing to release this game needs to Get Smart!

it wont suck it just wont stand out or be as much fun the war has been milked.

Thank you ps360fella! And why would a company follow up a smash hit with a rookie move like this. They are becoming a EA! Just simply making the same old boring game over and over!... "Can you say Rental"

I mean, if we just get on with the whole World War 3 (to be written WWiii, after the console wars that started it) we can avoid yet ANOTHER WWII Call of Duty game.

Sure billions will die, but just think of how fantastic those post apocalyptic games will be for our descendants & evolutionary inheritors of this planet!

(yes I mean the roaches...and of course 98% of Cher.)
