Don't you mean to make a wii u "MORE" worth buying? Wii u already has many reasons to buy.

Sly-Lupin3881d ago

For some people it's more about quantity than quality. That's why this list has multiple disposable "shovelware" games, and games that haven't been announced.

deafdani3881d ago (Edited 3881d ago )

I see your point about unnanounced games (Metroid Prime 4?), but shovelware? I don't see a single shovelware title on this list.

Mario Party is the one that comes closest to "shovelware", and even that is stretching it a lot.

frezhblunts3881d ago

Right!?!? I know I am probably getting almost every game on that list if not every. I am 24 too, kids 10-17 think these games are for kids but people my age know better.

DryBoneKoopa853881d ago

I'm getting just about every game on that list myself! I'm 29 and my wife is 26 and we love playing Nintendo games.

frezhblunts3881d ago

Yeah dry bone i play these games with my gf. She loves zelda, so we play hyrule warriors together

Concertoine3881d ago

Lol im 17, really like my my wii u. My friends dont think much of it until they come over lol... two of my friends have gotten one since.

Im not like most kids my age though. I spend more time on my ps2 and DC than my ps4. Enjoying parasite eve for the first time right now.

frezhblunts3880d ago

lol Con I had parasite eve! It was hard for me when I was younger but loved the story

For the new starfox all i want is.
Starfox Assault gameplay with better on foot controls.
Solid Online play.
16 players online.
More weapons, stages and vehicles
great story mode.

shaw983881d ago

I don't want ground missions and story has never been the focus of starfox. The plot is to defeat an evil space monkey.

Sheed3881d ago

but, it worked effectively for the multiplayer

Wii U been worth buying since November 18, 2012 sorry it took you 2 years to realize that.

Loadedklip3881d ago

I feel bad for gamers that skipped on the Gamecube and Wii. They basically played other systems while missing out on the best overall publisher of games ... Nintendo.

I generally own all the consoles ... I can't imagine missing out on Nintendo games.

shaw983881d ago (Edited 3881d ago )

As a gamer, I could not survive a console generation without Nintendo. I can't solely play on PC. The main reason I game on pc is because I have to have one for work.

BigDuo3881d ago

Shadow of the Eternals and Metroid Prime 4 don't belong on that list since A) the former is vaporware at this point and B) Retro hasn't announced its next project yet, and we probably won't even see it at E3 next year for that matter. Anyway, I want all the other listed titles except for Mario Party 10 and Mario Maker. The only projects that are announced, but are not confirmed for release/localization yet are Fatal Frame 5 and Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei.

Loadedklip3880d ago (Edited 3880d ago )

Yea I would have replaced the Vaporware with Fatal Frame.

If they wanted to do an honorable mention and say ... "bonus ... Retro has already begun working on their next project and rumors are that it is going to be big" ... that would have been better.

I do hope it is Metroid that they are retaking over but if not ... then maybe let them try to create something completely new and fresh. See what they can do.

As much as I love Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze ... Wii U has plenty of platformers and more on the way. Wii U need something else from Retro. Metroid or New IP works for me.

Why Dark Souls 2 Deserves a Second Chance in 2025

As difficult and frustrating as it is, people should consider reliving the Dark Souls 2 experience, especially because of what's coming to the game.

Many of those who hate Dark Souls II hate it because it's not Dark Souls. The same people love Dark Souls III because it isn't Dark Souls II.

And so many of the issues at the centre of common complaints about DS2 are present in DS3 and sometimes even DS1. The hatred and bile spewed over this perfectly decent game is ludicrous.

I don’t think it’s a terrible game, but like a movie sequel by a different director, for me, it does NOT capture any of the “magic” felt from the Miyazaki entries. Boss battles don’t feel epic, environments don’t have the same sense of awe, the enemy variety isn’t particularly interesting, the art direction just feels bland, about the only thing I can give it praise for is some of the music.

Now, again, this is only how I feel about it, so I’m not trying to invalidate his you feel about the game, but it is the worst entry in the series due to those factors and it’s the least re-visited entry, for me.

Is it decent as a game on its own? Sure. But in comparison to the Miyazaki entries, it does not stack up and I believe that’s where many were disappointed with it.

PrimeVinister24d ago

Completely fair. I cannot disagree either, mate.

MrWood24d ago (Edited 24d ago )

You can also play it in VR flawlessly on PC & controller with the LukeRoss mod so… another reason to jump back in with extra immersion.

jznrpg24d ago

It’s not a bad game it’s just not as good as the others

Shadow Man24d ago

The controls felt very clunky to me, I tried playing it after beating Darksouls 3 and it didn’t feel fluid, obviously the hit detection is less superior for been an older game.

Immediately thought of the El Dorado zombie dudes in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

raWfodog28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

Not necessarily a ‘horror’ moment, but I remember feeling really tense and anxious when the Flood were first introduced in the original Halo. I never felt more on edge or nervous in that whole game as that moment. I think it was the whole buildup that something terrible was coming but you didn’t know exactly what.

Another non-horror game that had me feeling it was Subnautica. The deep dark depths, and knowing that sea monsters were lurking nearby, had me jumping at every sound.

NettosGameRoom28d ago

That scene where you first see them attack is pretty crazy!

Relientk7728d ago

I remember being scared of the Asylum level in the most recent Thief game from 2014.
