Second article I've read since yesterday that states "release date" in the tile but doesn't actually have a release date. 2015 is not a release date it's a release window. A particular day would be a release date. IDK, maybe I'm confused about that.

@nofanboy
We're expected to fill in the blanks and supply our own release date by these "journalists". So the date I'm guessing is November 2015. Disclaimer...I am almost assuredly wrong.

Would be very nice if the 3 studios were tasked with only developing the game for one platform.

One studio does the xb1 one studio does the ps4 and one studio does the Pc therefore each version could max out that particular platform.

Now that would be awesome.

Game sounds like Survarium which I'm already playing on the Pc but I will take a look at the Division upon release unless it's around the time of TW3 then they can forget it.

StarCitizen The Witcher 3 and maybe Left 4 Dead 3 2015 is gonna be a benchmark year for truly big hit games.

ArchangelMike3899d ago

You talk too much sense, which ofcourse Ubisoft no longer really use when developing their games. Hopefully they have learned fron all the controversy they have courted this year with the release of Watchdogs, and upcoming Assassin creed Untiy. Hopefully The Division is maxed out on all platforms with no mention of "parity" anywhere.

Yeah, Anything that releases after February 24th will just have to wait until I'm done with The Witcher3. :)

Well said : Would be nice if ubisoft would have three teams. Making three version specifically to take advantage of each devices hardware. Nope good old ubisoft love themselves some parity. Ubisoft makes horrible pc ports and downgrades the games on pc and PS4. Just to make a small group of fanboys happy. The Division, Rainbow Six the siege and The Witcher 3 are my most wanted games. I just hope that ubisoft fails miserably on AC unity. Then ubisoft will knock off the parity bullsh#t .

The studios all have different tasks. For example the team that worked on Ghost Recon are handling weapons and customization. Seems like each team are handling their specialties.

Do you want the team that did Future soldier to dev an entire game? FS was fun for me but many were disappointed in it, or thought it sucked.

I actually enjoy GR future soldier. I was not crazy about the single player campaign. But I loved Ghosts recon FS the online competitive multiplayer. I really like all the way to customize and adjust your guns.

I'm so excited to hear that 3 Studios Engaged to Develop the Division. This game is going to be a masterpiece, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Remy_Chaos3899d ago

How I hope you're right, Ubisoft doesn't have the best reputation right now, game and PR wise.

@ArchangelMike

Well, One thing I do notice about the Division trailers they keep advertizing the snow drop engine. They didn't do that for Watch Dog nor have they done that for any of there other games. That alone tells me UBI wants to use the division to help advertize their snow drop engine. Perhaps, this is the reason why the division has to be a success. I think if everything turns out to be good for the division other devs might want to lease the snow drop engine. So, if I'm right, then UBI will make sure the division turns out to be a master piece.

ArchangelMike3899d ago

Yeah, 3 studios also worked on Watchdogs, and how did that turn out?

TheStrokes3899d ago

This is one of my top 3 games of this gen so far...but, its Ubisoft, so I'm keeping my expectations at around a 7-8/10.
I also hope they use EACH console to their maximum capacity (as much as they can).

Rainbow Six Siege + The Division = Everyone loves Ubisoft again.

Gr1mmyshadows3899d ago

If both those games do very well then people will be singing a different tone about ubisoft. But i am extremely excited for The Division

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183804d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot803d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno803d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic803d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman803d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon803d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
