Tropico 5 has been a big part of the simulation genre for quite sometime. It has become synonymous with wielding the power of a dictatorship while exposing you to all their inherent weaknesses. It also does this while keeping the mood light-hearted, and most of all, fun. The Tropico franchise has made its triumphant return to the PC, with the consoles coming soon, and the question remains, Does this entry keep being bad to the bone fun and engaging or does it show the deeper, sinister side of being a dictator? We tend to lean towards the former.
