Nice review!

I strong contender for my GoTY as well. The only thing that let it down was the scenery/depiction of Mordor, it's completely bland and has the feeling of being in a quarry.

couldnt agree more, environments all very bland and uninteresting. Only other down point for me is Troy Baker... he's everywhere and although he generally does a pretty good job I'm sick of hearing him in ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!

Shadows of Mordor? Why couldn't it have been crap? What with the YT coverage nonsense and the fact that the name REALLY lends itself to a 'Shadows of Bore-dor' gag. For shame, Warner Bros!

I find it hard to believe that people are being genuine with their scores & not letting their love of the TLOTR theme add a few unnecessary points to this game.

I picked up Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation & The Evil Within this week. Alien Isolation being the best of the bunch, hands down!

To be fair I'm really disappointed with both SoM & TEW. For me Alien would get an 8.5/10, SoM a 7/10 & TEW a 6.5/10. SoM is certainly not GOTY material to any extent!
