MixedBag Games' Mauro Fanelli talks about Sony's support for the project.
Good luck then till your next Multi platform project if their is one, but if not good luck.
“Microsoft seems to have pretty decent policies placed for the indie developers. We are in [email protected] and we’ll love to work on Xbox One in the future" Sounds likely they have more games in the works, and they will indeed be multiplatform.
Understood the article so remained positive but I guess being positive is not enough on this site. I await their next Multi platform game til then those getting the game enjoy.
http://www.forma8.net I don't think Forma.8 is announced for Xbox One, but it's possible since that's on its way and they've joined [email protected] like you mentioned.
"Here Is Why Futuridium EP Deluxe is a PlayStation Exclusive And Won't Be Coming To Xbox One" Well they could have a few more sales if they released it on the X1. I guess they don't want more money, their loss...
They're a brand new developer and you're assuming they could afford to release on multiple platforms with their very first game?
Sony gave us free stuff, the end.
Sony is a better partner more open and doesn't force a stupid parity clause on our ass. Oh yeah and a far bigger fanbase.
Doesn't seem like a game that would interest me
1. Sony was more helpful in getting the game published than Microsoft 2. Microsoft's "parity clause" 3. Sony has double the market share If it was YOUR money and YOUR business, who would you go with?
Too bad it has nothing to do with the parity clause as this dev already stated they are in the ID program. But keep trying, one day you'll get it right.
Parity clause has nothing to do with being in the ID program.
I'm in the [email protected] program and I'm not even currently developing anything.:) Parity(and many things that come along with publishing on the system) comes with the development of the game once you enter into an agreement to release a game on the system, not with the joining of the program.
Lmao really? This Game? This reminds of the PS2 days where there was so much shovelware because the system was so dominant and people hoped to sell a copy. I don't blame them for that, porting is rather easy apparently and if they find a few victims that buy it good for them
And X1 owners care why? Jesus, stop making every indie game sound like the second coming. @King... I hope you are being sarcastic because nobody cares about this.
Nobody? Seems Everyone who's commenting does.
Who's saying that? This article is reporting facts, and I don't remember when that ever became a crime. I guess if you have a strong enough opinion that the person using the facts is a Sony fanboy, then you can use that to help you believe that it's less true, but it's not. Yours is the exact kind of response that stems mostly from insecurity that PS4 has more games coming to it, and that MS has shot themselves in the foot when it comes to indie games on their console, and still refuses to budge on the meaningless parity clause. One of these days, we're gonna stop categorising indie games and using that demeaning tone to describe them, because you only have to take a look at RiME, No Man's Sky, WiLD and a couple of handfuls of other games, to see that they are practically equal to the quality potential and content of AAA games provide. Every indie developer has the capability to reach this level. Diversity is key to a memorable games lineup. Not every indie will of course match up to the potential of AAA productions, but denying perfectly good, fun and innovative games because MS has a problematic attitude and you are supporting them with that, is pointless and pretty juvenile.
OMG stop acting like this game is the second coming, DigitalRaptor!!!!!!! lol
Why would a third party developer make an exclusive and choose to have less sales, yeah they're paid to make an exclusive
Hmm,Insomniac comes to mind.
Are you telling me that Sony is getting the cheque book out for literally hundreds of indie devs that are choosing not to put their game on Xbone, even games like this that have no affect on sales of their console? What planet are you living on? Look around you at the Microsoft policies, the parity clause, which console has the largest marketshare and then rethink what you just said, because it's monumentally stupid.
Right? If Sony was paying for every exclusive indie, the PS division wouldn't be making profit.
If they're doing that then it sounds like I need to start developing an exclusive game for PS4. Heck of a lot easier than how indie games are actually produced by funding tens of thousands of dollars oneself, getting investors which get a major cut of revenues, or getting a 3rd party publisher with takes almost all the profit. Sony's plan is a win...too bad they aren't actually doing that though.
Microsoft's parity clause once again helping the PS4 get the games first.
Except for the simple fact that the parity clause has NOTHING to do with why this game is not coming to the X1 as stated by the developer in the ACTUAL ARTICLE.
Grateful guys, sounds logical to me. Sony helped them way back then, they return the favor...
Very honourable in my book.
