74% on Metacritic based on 16 critics, plus 73% made of user scores. I didn't ask for this.
The way game journalism is going, Metacritic is becoming less relevant by the day anyway. Just play what you're interested in. Don't let someone dictate to you what is good through a number. People love the Fallout series. The games get praised from many gaming sites and users yet I can't physically stand the game. It doesn't mean it's not a good game, it just means that my tastes are just different to a lot of other peoples.
People really shouldn't pay attention to the opinions of others. An opinion based on scientific fact is one thing, but these opinions are based upon games and gameplay footage that anyone has access to. The only opinion that truly matters is your own. Videos can belie flaws that only first hand experience playing the game can recount. For instance, control/game feel issues are hard to understand simply by watching videos, with commenters often just stating the person playing "sucks" as the real reason why the issues were highlighted. End game content is another example of something that people like to hear commentary on. Game length, story etc. are also things that the player may not be able to fathom or want to hear from a few short gameplay clips.
