Vex mthyoclast base damage is being nerfed by 34%!!!!

Swiggins1886d ago

While an extreme nerf I realize, it was almost neccesary, the damn thing was just WAY too powerful in PVP.

The increase to critical damage will mean it should retain some of it's effectiveness in PVE.

Then just make it unusable in PvP. All they've done is made it pointless to complete the raid on hard. Its Not like every one had it in crucible. At least I got a week with it before it was nerfed.

Seriously? That's considered trolling? WTF?

I spent many hours getting the thorn handcannon and its still a piece of shit when fully upgraded. They better buff it quick because its quite annoying.

I don't know what you're doing wrong than because I trash people with the Thorn and mine is not even max. You got to use the Dot damage to you're advantage.

Nerfs all around(almost), nothing to put a damper on your destiny itch like knowing you're sucking more than yesterday.

It's been my experience that so called "Exotic" weapons are generally a disappointment. There are exceptions, but the majority of them that I have are just not as effective as some of my legendary weapons of the same type. Exotics have some cool perks and features, but are usually so balanced out with negatives that they become more of a trophy than something to actually use. Now all the work I put into getting my Pocket Infinity and ranking it up is wasted and I have yet another weapon like my Multi-Tool, Super Good Advice, etc that is cool to show off but next to worthless in actual gameplay.

It is my opinion that Bungie made "Exotics" too easy to obtain and nerfed them down to balance out the fact that they would eventually be everywhere instead of keeping them rare and unusual weapons with special abilities and perks. The Exotic armor seems to be just as plentiful, but generally have some very useful perks that could even be considered overpowering, but in my opinion, are inline with their "Exotic" status. Most are genuinely useful and are a definite upgrade over even some pieces of the Raid armor. Few of the weapons are as useful and now the few that were seem to be getting nerfed into mediocrity. So what is the point in having "Exotic" weapons if they are only exotic in name? Just my .02

Rhaigun1886d ago

Exactly. Yes, Mythoclast was OP in PvP, but it's the hardest weapon to get in the game. Not only do you have to beat the raid on hard, but you also had to be at the luck of RNG. Just because you finished, didn't mean you were awarded it. So, now that achievement is worthless.

Remember people. Vex is now nerfed in PVP...not PVE... So it is still usefull. PVP NEEDS to be balanced. PVE does not...

Elwenil1886d ago

Do you have proof of this? The statement by Bungie makes no distinction between PvP and PvE, only that they are nerfing weapons.
